Concerning the case above, I first heard his mother paid his bail. When locked up again, and was supposedly not given bail, a person who lived within eyesight of his home said he was out.

Now I don't know too much about it, but I bet he had a little info. to tell the sheriff's dept. and he walked. Or money changed hands. Who knows in this town. You can bet the solicitor's office can find some kind of law or plea bargain to explain this away. Read above about what I had to say concerning informants and information. It's not worth it to get a bust by letting anyone with a little piece of info talk and walk.

What I've said would not stand up in a court of law, but I'll bet it's the truth. Information or money. Or both is why he's out, if he is indeed free. Then there's family and connections. What else is so shocking is that Feds in town really seem to make no difference to these folks.

Speaking of Chesterfield County Government. It's no secret the Solicitor's Office has had it's "problems". But then who hasn't. My question is, why is Jonathan Hancock out of jail? He confessed to the murder of Eric Duncan and got out on a $50,000 bond. While on bond his DNA test matched an unsolved crime of the severe and brutal beating of his great aunt while attempting to rob her. He was arrested and again bonded out.

I do understand everyone that is accused of a crime is considered innocent until proven guilty under the constitution. But I don't understand why a confessed murderer is sitting around his house and not behind bars. And Chesterfield County is allowing this menice to society to continue being a threat to us all. Makes me wonder who's getting the kickback off of all this. If the shoe were on the other foot and the murdered person was white while the murderer was black, and the black guy also beat an elderly white lady he would never get out of jail.

I can't imagine imagine how Eric Duncan's mother, brother, children, and the rest of his family feels seeing his murderer walk the streets.

Just for the record, I am a white female that wants to see justice served in Chesterfield County.

Terrible shock, everyone surprised, they missed it, Feds found it...Mmm-Hmm. Yeah, right. Not really sure what's going on, this investigation could take 2-3 years, who knows.

But for sure, no one is shocked, no one missed sh*t, and no one likes hypocracy. Everyone is thankful for law enforcement, and there's some good ones here in this county, but I hope everyone knee-deep in the political crap sees the backside of the bars they've put plenty of people behind.

Speaking only for myself, I'd like to see the use of so many informants stopped. An entire case rests on drug dealers & users? They end up running everyone's show and it's just putting and keeping more drugs on the street.

I don't think many people care for a pitbull of a sheriff either, or a probate judge who is rumored to be involved in shady dealings and tells everyone who disagrees with him to get a lawyer. God knows I probably shouldn't post that, they're better equipped than the military & really do as they please, so I suppose they could lock me up for posting this, but it's gotten intolerable around here. No wonder abused women & kids, drug addicts, etc. get no help.

The folks of this county and SC need a new campaign, one for the people and by the people, centered around cleaning up government & keeping it clean.

Look out, i thought i just saw Bo Duke riding by in General Lee. Boss Hawg {Jay Hodge} was out of town in New York City when all this went down. He's going to be some kind of pissed off when he gets back and realizes some of his Christmas money got impounded by the Feds. i'm sure he'll be "cracking" {some pun intended} the whip on the other dealers to make up for the loss in revenue. Somebody please help us down here, cause we got to have some kinda relief.

"(Sheriff) Parker echoed some of the same comments.

'It is hard to believe that this happened with Brent. It is a terrible shock and very disappointing because Brent is a good person. However, we are going to try to help him get the help he needs in order to get his life back on track. It goes to show you that bad things happen to good people.'"

Good god, what world are they living in? Brent is not a good person, Brent is a meth dealer & he had to be busted by the Feds because you guys missed it. What's up with that one?
