Tiger Woods: Not An Equal Opportunity Employer

By Mande Wilkes | You know how to tell that America has come full circle with regard to race relations? A black president is not for nothing, but Barack Obama’s significance pales (ha!) in comparison to the criticism of Tiger Woods’ apparent diverse-averse taste in women.

Diverse-averse? Huh?

Yeah.

Eugene Robinson, a (black) Pulitzer prize-winning syndicated columnist, finds “oppressive” Tiger’s failure to diversify his portfolio of mistresses.

From the Washington Post:

No offense to anyone who actually looks like Barbie, but it really is striking how much the women who’ve been linked to Woods resemble one another. I’m talking about the long hair, the specific body type, even the facial features. Mattel could sue for trademark infringement.

But the world is full of beautiful women of all colors, shapes and sizes — some with short hair or almond eyes, some with broad noses, some with yellow or brown skin. Woods appears to have bought into an “official” standard of beauty that is so conventional as to be almost oppressive.

So: One’s choice in bedmate(s) ought to be racially representative.

And: Even black people have to demonstrate diversity in this regard.

From one brother to another, Robinson pleas with Tiger to please screw a black woman, already. He can’t very well splash that across the pages of the Washington Post, though, so he buries the sentiment in diversity double-speak – an oblique promotion of color-mindfulness.

See how far we’ve progressed, how racially transcendent we are? Just like everybody else, black people have to kowtow to black people.

Full circles, indeed.

If old Eugene actually had a choice, think he would take a Barbie type or one with some of the attributes he suggested (such as a broad nose and brown skin)…. And Eugene must be one of those who thinks all white people look alike because the girls Tiger is supposed to have slept with certainly differ in appearance and do not look like Barbie clones (and none of them look as good as his wife, IMO).

Is Tiger black? Or is he half black and half asian? Maybe his asian side prefers white women. Is Obama black or half black and half white? What % makes you “black” and trumps the other genes?

Most of the sluts out there thought like most of us did, that Tiger was faithful and didn’t play around. Now that they know he has been like a blind dog in a meat packing plant around attractive women, many, many more will make themselves available and go after him. So he might as well call it quits with his wife. He may try to be faithful but it ain’t gonna happen.

Tiger wants what he wants. Maybe that’s OK-but even with the money and promotional opportunities, I don’t think so. Unfortunately, his action(s) and response leave a lot to be desired. She may walk away with a wheel-barrow full of money or two.

Every time news of a new “mistress” and Tiger hits the news I check my bank account. It never changes as a result of an additional woman. So please tell me why I should care how many, who, how many times, etc. Tiger sleeps around? It has absolutely no effect on me. The only difference with Sanfraud is that he was using my tax money. I don’t believe Tiger was.
