Cymbalta Can Help, South Carolina

pill bottle

Take two of these and call me in the morning …

That’s advice Palmetto State residents are obviously taking … along with an disproportionately high number of prescription drugs.

South Carolina is the third “most medicated” state in the nation according to a study released earlier this year by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

In fact, South Carolinians fill an average of 16.4 prescriptions per year, ranking behind West Virginia (17.7) and Alabama (16.7).  The national average is just over 11 per capita prescriptions annually.

While we’d love to joke about how chronically depressed (or chronically embarrassed) our citizens are from decades of failure, the real culprit here is the state’s high obesity rates.
