Everything I posted can be confirmed, twice over, by anyone who knows how to search the net. And the bartender never gave me his ID–his name was on his shirt, so I asked three people what his last name was. So, as you can see I did my homework. Just read AnaLaura’s post in The Post and Courier and it all adds up with my info. Go to Wikipedia if you doubt my info on this company. And trust me, she does work for B & B — at least she did as of last week. If MS would have been nabbed do you think his heiress wife would have paid his ransom? Or maybe the State of SC would have had to have dipped into their lottery money to get him back. I don’t know. MS is lucky he made it back.

I find your story very bizarre and perhaps not true at all. I have no intention of going to BA to talk to that bartender. If he did tell you that story, why would he give you his name? I would think he would fear for his life for talking to you about an Argentine woman. Could he be trying to throw you of the track? Isn’t that the place where the owner told the reporters that Maria was a dirty blond w/green eyes?
If my memory serves me right, one of the earliest posts said that Bunge and Born have stated that she was never one of their employees. Her name was listed as one of the marathon runners for the company probably because one of her friends worked there and invited her to participare.

Most of us are sick of him and his wife. We didn’t make him appear at press conferences and we certainly didn’t want to hear about his soulmate and the sparkle and he had to know that his children would hear. Gross.
We want him gone because this shows his true character and stupidity. All Mark Sanford cares about is Mark Sanford. Whatever happens to him he did it to himself. Oh and precious Jenny – you notice she didn’t leave until the world found out. I guess it was OK as long as no one knew. Let him go back to C Street with Ensign and the rest.

OK Colleen…Here is the down and dirty. The following is almost to bizarre to be true, but you can check it out for yourself. My source is from Guido’s Bar in Buenos Aires, check with the bartender, and ask for Carlos Soto.

Maria works for Bunge and Born a multinational company AKA Bunge, ltd based in Bermuda. The comapny was founded in the late 1800′s by a German-Argentine, Ernesto Bunge. The company is a powerful consortium of dozens of import and export companies. The company is and was so powerful in Argentina that it actually controlled economic and monetary policy with the Argentine government. In the 1970′s two siblings of the founders, Jorge and Juan Born were kidnapped by the far-leftist group, Montoneros. They were kept in as a safe house for almost a year and were released on a record setting ransom of $60 million.

in 1987, the CEO, Mario Hirsch died unexpectedly (?) and the company was taken over by Jorge, who formed a business partnership with one of his former captors, Rodolfo Galimberti! Maria’s expertise is economic policy and she speaks fluent Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, and English and others with enough to get by. She also can Tango with the best of them.
