In case you haven’t seen it yet, the best show on television right now is FOX’s triumphant “us versus them” anthem, Glee.
It airs Wednesday nights at 9:00 p.m., and after being dragged into the living room by Mrs. Sic a few weeks ago to check it out, our founding editor is officially hooked.
Masterfully written and choreographed, the show sheds its predictable veneer (an ethnically diverse cast of high school misfits struggling to “fit in” once they leave the confines of their geeky, socially unacceptable singing group), and takes you to a Sorkinesque level of intellectual and emotional engagement.
Oh, and it’s all set to a kickin’ soundtrack that “mashes up” musical hits from multiple era and genres.
Even the overdone teen pregnancy plot line and token gay cast member somehow manage to transcend their annoying redundancy in Glee, which is something we never thought we’d say about an overdone teen pregnancy plot … let alone a token gay cast member.
Anyway, while we’d love to dwell on the show’s deftness on the PC sensibility front, it goes without saying that pervs … err, people like Sic Willie keep coming back because of the ladies … Rachel Berry and Quinn Fabray, in particular, the show’s two female leads.
Played by Lea Michele and Dianna Agron, Rachel and Quinn are the perfect yin and yang. Or Mounds and Almond Joy, if you prefer.
They look nothing alike, and yet both of them have an intangible allure that elevates them way beyond conventional hotness – in keeping with Glee’s theme of multilevel transcendence.
So … are you on “Team Rachel” or “Team Quinn?”
For the record, Sic Willie is on “Team Both Of Them At The Same Time,” an allegiance which is capably aided by the fact that neither of these girls seems capable of keeping their hands off of one another in public.
Oh and hey, they apparently lived together for a stretch when Glee was first filming …
Boy. Oy. Yoing.

I agree… great show and music! Love it! Even the pretend teens are basically pretty good actors.
