In addition to his private lawyers, S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford is spending taxpayer cash ($150 an hour, to be precise) on an attorney whose stated mission is to “protect the institution of the governor’s office.”
While you try to avoid choking on that irony, consider this … the particular Connecticut-based attorney that Sanford has hired made his name defending John G. Rowland, another corrupt GOP scumbag.
Anyway, the guy’s name is Ross Garber, but we took one look at him and decided to call him “Fancypants,” because c’mon … just look (arms folded, above)!
That is one fancy, fancy fellow, people!
“The eyes of the world are on South Carolina,” Fancypants told The (Columbia) State newspaper reporter Smith in her exclusive story Wednesday breaking news of the arrangement.
Really? The eyes of the world?
Sounds fancy (and expensive)!
Fancypants even sent a memo (ca-ching, ca-ching, ca-ching) to S.C. House members this week with more of his fancy thoughts.
Anyway, props to Smith for nailing this scoop … and mega-douche points to Sanford. Again.
Seriously, people. Let’s see if we’ve got this straight … the one-time fiscal conservative champion of South Carolina is now blowing your money on a white collar criminal lawyer to minimize all the taxpayer money he wasted in pursuit of his poontang erectile problem in Argentina?
Can he fall any further?
But hey … we’ve said all that already, right?

It would have been a lot more fiscally conservative if the Governor himself had protected the office of Governor, don’t ya think???

Once again, your mastery of investigative work is unprecedented.
Making up nicknames does not make this a news site.
It’s the SCHotline written by preschoolers.
Nice work Team Rocket.

well you see, there is more going on than meets the eye…trust me folks ( no pun intended)
Markie Mark Sanfraud needs a criminal white collar lawyer but the problem is way out in left field. Sanfraud knows its coming……
and Sanfraud, it IS coming.
slowly, surely, your BIGGEST problem IS coming.
Remember when the pieces don’t fit you can’t complete the puzzle, right?
According to TMZ Maria and Mark were seen several times. What about those flights ya’ll?
And what about taking your spiritual mentor to cut off a relationship on orders from your wife?
Go back and read the garbage honey cause none of it makes sense. The truth is yet to come.
Are there no in state white collar criminal attorneys? Only Fancypants would take the job?
Think people think.
Then remember Ensign, Mark’s C Street buddy is under Senate Ethics Investigation too. Connection? You betcha.

Only $150 an hour? Who’s paying the rest of his fee?
By Ynot November 25, 2009 at 8:28 am
Looks like Fancypants is an expert in:
Ross’s recent matters include the following:
Representation of multi-national corporation in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act matter.
Representation of individual indicted in two districts for alleged violations of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) and allegedly acting as an agent of a foreign government.
Representation of Fortune 100 financial services company in multi-jurisdiction fraud matter involving investigations by federal criminal authorities, the SEC, FINRA, and a state attorney general.
Representation of financial services company that received TARP funds in legislative and regulatory investigations of payment of retention bonuses.
Representation of lawyer, mortgage broker, title insurance company, and loan officer in various mortgage fraud investigations.
Representation of primary target of DOJ and SEC investigation of accounting fraud.
((Clears throat))
Representation of public officials and agencies in federal and state public corruption investigations.

Ok so, and we are not saying you would know anything about this butt… why is it when some folks/guys lose their hair they just don’t get a crew cut? The guy looks like a hairy, unhairy thing uhh thats all… But definitely not a fancy pants at 150.00 per hour? Please, idiot attorneys cost three times that amount…
By Scott November 25, 2009 at 9:29 am
$150/hour? Really. I think some of the major law firms here in South Carolina charge at least that for their junior attorneys…
Someone has to be subsidizing this guy or else he can’t get any other work than protecting the interest of corrupt, narcissistic Republicans.

Goddaammmmm Sanfraud uses a preacher from that fancy Seacult church in Charleston to meet and great his whore. Meet the mistress: what kind of religion is taht all about?
I’ll bet that if Maria would become a member and Jenny wasn’t, they’d welcome the whore with open arms and forgive Mark. Oh Lord, forgive Mark because he wasn’t married to a good Christian woman.
Only Seacult people are going to heaven. Like that blowjob preacher from last year, join them and you can sin all you want, then sob and cry and you’re forgiven and they’ll love you all over again. No wonder Mark thinks he can bullshit us all, because his preacher buddy teaches him that.
Whores can suck him, this I know, for Mark’s Bible tells him so.
Jesus may love you Mark, but the rest of us think you are an asshole!

Fancypants owns a biz named Vignette, 8 million plus shares belong to none other than FIDELITY .
hahaha
Fidelity is financing Mark’s ethics problems.
By ohara November 30, 2009 at 2:57 pm
Hope Fancypants gets Sanfraud the same deal he got for the last governor he defended against impeachment-jail time.

Even axe murders get a state paid lawyer.
Sanford wouldn’t need a lawyer if they just let him finish his job for a year and move on to more important matters for the state.
All the hype about him costing SC business is baloney. The Legislature passed that high-corporate-tax bill…THATS what keeps them away. If it wan’t, why are they is secret meetings to REPEAL IT?!
When Sanford is gone, they will have to find other excuses for their corporatist agenda. Bobby Harrell and many of those RHINOS are Marxists no different from Obama. And Im saying this as a republican.
What a load of crap

Ynot–check your facts. Vignette is owned by some OTHER guy with the same name.
