Not that the Index-Journal is a great, or even half-decent, publication by any means, but you fail for linking to GwdToday.com. It should be called Wrecks Today as most of its ‘reporters’ spend their time reporting on minor traffic accidents, not to mention lots of other worthless stories.

Still, these guys deserve what they get for posing for that picture.

An online poll about the slogan aka “Right Size” brand was posted by the Greenwood Index Journal, and here is where opinions stood last time I checked:
5% Loved It
30% Hated It
5% I Have a Better One
35% Waste of Money
9% We Don’t Need It
6% I Don’t Care
11% What Slogan?

So 65% polled are against it, yet the Chamber is going to ram their Right Size the wrong way…down everyone’s throats. A better use of their money would be getting a professional web site that is concisely written (with NO errors) and well-organized. After this “branding” embarrassment, they ought to just clean house and start over. Is this what Greenwood wants as part of their first impression to prospective employers?

Ummm. Greenwood…the same place where their Partnership Alliance and the geniuses at the Chamber of Commerce paid a consulting firm a huge chunk of change for this double-entendre of a slogan: “Right Size.” They call it “branding.” After seeing that pic, I guess we can blame it on the rodeo. I’m sure that slogan will leave any economic development prospect breathless…from laughter.

I lived in Greenwood for nearly three years.

Don’t be deceived—it’s a great place to rear a family.

The particular rodeo featured in the article is far superior than those in Columbia.

I recommend it to anyone.
