A City Council member from Lexington, S.C. has reportedly called U.S. Rep. Addison Graves “Joe” Wilson a “wussy” for opposing a $5.5 million road project.

According to a blog post from Americans for Prosperity, Lexington City Councilman Danny Frazier made the comment shortly after Wilson sent town leaders a message saying he “cannot in good faith request funding for projects this year unless all my colleagues bring the same scrutiny to the projects they request.”

And yeah … we’re shocked that Wilson has finally found his fiscal conservatism.  And that there are roads in Lexington.

We thought it was all dirt paths and chicken coops out there.

Anyway, the article linked to a story in The State newspaper, which has since been removed.

Incidentally, Frazier is running for the S.C. House against former Majority Leader Rick Quinn.

Oink, Oink. This clown also voted to extend his council term at a cost to taxpayers so that he wouldn’t have to give up his position on council in order to run for this house seat. FITS, I’d be interested in your take on that. Is that common in other municipalities? Is it even legal? I thought the whole point of an election was for voters to decide who would represent them for the term specified.

VIVA WILSON.

Wilson a “wussie”? And I thought he was just an asshole!

By Just a good ole boy on November 16th, 2009 at 12:51 pm

Wilson just said out loud what many of us were thinking. Granted, maybe he should have said it under his breath, but hindsight is always 20-20. As far as Councilman Frazier goes;you have to wonder his motivation for the comment, especially given he is seeking to move from local council to state goverment…

Change the “W” to a “P” and you will be even more accurate.

So how many of the Wilson humpers realize that his diatribes against health reform are written for him by insurers?

Yeah, that’s some hero y’all got there. Yes indeedy.

Truth is an absolute defense.

The Repugnant Party, just like Billy Folks, is in the hip pocket of the Insurance Industry and their useful idiots.

By madcock on November 16th, 2009 at 10:08 pm

Frazier’s a fool. Wilson’s not a coward for opposing the road projects.

Like most Repubs his age, Wilson’s a coward for avoiding the draft during Vietnam.

Let’s see. Served his nation. Raised his sons to serve their nation. Raised another man’s son as his own. Loyal to his wife. Called the King Barack a liar on national tv. Yep, to most self serving politicians that makes a man a wussy. The rest of us call it being a man.

By Calhoun Fawls on November 17th, 2009 at 6:14 am

Yo, Jolly Roger, its the Democratic plan that FINES people for not paying insurance companies. You tell me who owns who.

By Old Bike Dude on November 17th, 2009 at 7:24 am

Psst calhoun, my man. You state he served his country. Yeah, riiigght. And you give him props for raising his kids. That’s quite the bar you’ve set. There’s an office next to mine. In that office is a man known as Rob Miller. Joe Wilson’s wussie service wouldn’t amount to a pimple on Rob Miller’s ass.

By Calhoun Fawls on November 18th, 2009 at 9:53 am

Old Bike Dude, I do not doubt Miller’s service. But, I got an uncle who was in Nam who would call Miller a wussie if it came down to it. My grandpa loathes men who talk about their military service first in political campaigns. So, you can guess what that old decorated sailor thinks of your guy. Grandpa did not use his service to get a job in a textile mill, much less as a launch pad to political office.

All that said, the issue was whether or not Wilson was a wuss or a man. I pointed out that he was a man. I don’t deny Miller is one as well.

If you want to walk the other road brother, and speak against a man for serving and doing the right things, that is your deal. But, my guess is you don’t ride a Harley. :)

That’s one plan among many, and came from the fertile minds of DINOs like Baucus.

Baucus might as well join your heroes over in La-La LAnd. BTW, what plan have THEY submitted? Oh yeah…. nothing except ways to gut regulations on insurers.
