Carrie Prejean: Our Favorite Mistake(s)
Like the rest of the country, we were snowed into thinking that former Miss California Carrie Prejean was a good, God-fearing girl who was unjustly punished for her defense of family values.
We don’t have any family values, mind you, but we’ve always supported the right of people who do to stand up for them.
Which is what Prejean did.
Today? She’s the latest in a long line of moral hypocrites with a B-list “reality” TV career ahead of her.
After calling a solo sex tape “the biggest mistake of (her) life,” it turns out Prejean made the same mistake, um, seven additional times.
Now don’t get us wrong, that’s seven times the fun as far as we’re concerned, but it’s also seven times the headache for Prejean, who as far as we can tell is every bit as fake as the new rack that the Miss California pageant bought for her.
Prejean also didn’t help herself by going on Larry King Live last week and basically throwing a spoiled white girl tantrum.
Anyway, Vivid Video – which we are told (cough, cough) is one of the nation’s top porn producers – has acquired at least one of Prejean’s videos and is currently negotiating its release.
So yeah … there’s that.

Yup, conspiracy markings all over, minus a cigar.
Luckily Christians can forgive 7×70, if Sanfraud didn’t max out.
If that’s the worst mistake of her life she’s in prime political position.
In her country that is.

Like the rest of the country?
You mean “Like the rest of the rubes.”

i’m sure there’s more to it (honestly, i haven’t paid attention to this girl, nor do i really care), but is being anti-gay marriage morally inconsistent with being personally sexually active (and apparently keen to share it with everyone)? or does everyone just assume that if you’re anti-gay marriage you’re a prude?

Wasn’t she 17 when she made the video, which would make the material off limits and potentially child porn?

Shouldn’t whoever provided the videos (presumably her ex-boyfriend) be charged with distributing illegal material, if she was under age at the time? Even if he turned them over to an attorney through some legal mechanism, I would think he would have had them for several years, which would be possession of illegal material. It’s not like he could say he didn’t know how old she was, so he didn’t know it was illegal.

Dear Sid and Steve:
Carrie wasn’t 17 years old when the videos were made.
Carrie wanted her ex-boyfriend to lie about her age . . . and stick to a false story claiming that she was 17 when she made the videos. The ex-boyfriend says he refused to lie about her age.

If she was of age, I guess the guy is just an opportunistic scumbag, rather than a potential felon. Then again, if I turned over something I thought would get me instant attention, and possibly some cash, and people started raising the age issue, I guess I’d say she was of age, too. I have yet to see anything that confirms she was definitely of age, so I guess I’ll reserve judgement. She obviously doesn’t have a good track record when it comes to telling the complete story. If it turns out she was under age, though, then I hope the guy gets prosecuted. Not because I think there’s a big difference between being 17 and 18, so the law is fair, though. More because I think the guy is a scumbag, and would find it funny to see this blow up in his face.

“Then again, if I turned over something I thought would get me instant attention, and possibly some cash, and people started raising the age issue, I guess I’d say she was of age, too.”
The only person who raised the age issue was Carrie.
“I have yet to see anything that confirms she was definitely of age, so I guess I’ll reserve judgement.”
I guess you’re also reserving your intelligence, because her boyfriend would have to be even dumber than you to reveal a tape he possessed of a minor.
“If it turns out she was under age, though, then I hope the guy gets prosecuted.”
The tape was produced in the course of a sworn deposition by California pageant officials in response to a lawsuit brought against them by Carrie, the one-time darling of the political party that forever raves about how litigious our society is.
Carrie decided to drop her lawsuit about fifteen seconds after the tape was shown to her and her mother at the deposition.
So I guess you can hope all you want that the scumbag gets prosecuted, but the other scumbag has already made herself into a permanent laughingstock.

“The only person who raised the age issue was Carrie.”
If you say so. I’ve only picked up bits and pieces of the story, as it’s not really of great concern to me. You seem to be rather fascinated with it, though.
“I guess you’re also reserving your intelligence, because her boyfriend would have to be even dumber than you to reveal a tape he possessed of a minor.”
Wow! What brought that on? I’m just reserving judgement, not questioning your manhood/womanhood. Idiots do idiotic things all the time. This guy could be one, is all I’m saying. He is a scumbag, that’s been proven, but he may still be proven to be an idiot. Again, unless she was of age. Remember, I’m reserving judgement.
Rest assured, however, I’m more intelligent than you. I’m smarter than 98% of this planet, based on every known tool for measuring intelligence. Based on your post, you fall below me, and probably well below. Maybe the tests are wrong as they relate to me v. the planet, but I have no doubt I’m more intelligent than you.
Ultimately, I really couldn’t care less about the girl, but the guy is a scumbag for turning over something that was intended to be private. He did it for revenge, notoriety, or money. That’s what scumbags do. And if what he turned over was illegal, then I still hope he gets prosecuted.
You seem to have a real thing for bashing the girl, and I’m pretty sure I can guess why. That’s fine by me, but I suggest you calm down when it comes to Prejean. She seems to get you all worked up, which can’t be healthy. After all, what did she ever do to you?
