Jenny Sanford is cold, and their marriage was an “arrangement” for political reasons. Mark cared but did not love that woman, and she is a cold person. His real soulmate is elsewhere and so what if he had an affair? Bill Clinton had one too, lied about it before confessing, but his political career and popularity did not falter. So why the hooplah about Mark Sanford? He’s a great governor, and too bad he became too honest about his personal affairs. Jenny is disgusting, using her “poor me” story to gain money and media attention. The boys are who will be hurt most, as they are learning if someone “done them wrong”, to gain fame and money instead of keeping some things to ones self.

sadly, the people of SC actually deserve the sanfords. and i don’t mean we deserve them to teach us a lesson, becuse that aint never happening. we deserve them because it reflects our true values. on he outside we fool ourselves in accepting the obvious lies, and then when, time and again the truth is revealed, we either ignore it or read some preposterously false and intentionally self deluding moral into it. the sanfords are the type of feudal overlords we as south carolinias not only embrace, but sadly, need. it’s like they are some superior species and we are just cows in the field.

Why people want to talk with her and think she is someone to look up to, certainly do not know her well. Cold hearted woman, who used to boss the Gov.’s staff around and talked about her husband in interviews as if he were a piece of furniture ( way before the affair) is the way many of us see her. I respect Katie Couric so much, and hate that she may not really know the real Mrs. Sanford. Hope any interview lets the viewers see the real person. Kinda like the interviews with Sarah Palin. And, what is with the trademark business????

Thank you, F. Scott Fittzgerald. These folks really are different from you and me. These trust fund babies are a lot like the Kennedys. F’uped beyond repair. IMHO I think their whole relationship was a sham. They both sort of used each other. If you ever saw these two out in public with their family they always came across as a bit odd. Something like out of England in the 1950′s–their view of what the perfect SC family should look like. Prince Charles and South of Broad times two…

Right.

But not nearly smart enough to steer clear from a flake/nut-case/narcissist/liar like Mark Sanford, let alone procreate with it.

I don’t think she’s smart at all. Her resume might as well be written on tissue paper.

It makes sense that she abandoned a complex business world for the dumber pastures of South Carolina where she could “excel.”
