9/11 Organizer To Be Tried In New York

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the “highest-value” suspect that America has rounded up yet in its war on terror(ism), will be tried in federal court in New York City along with four other 9/11 suspects – a decision that will afford him and his fellow defendants the same rights that any U.S. citizen accused of a federal crime would receive.

According to the New York Times, this controversial decision will be announced Friday by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.

Frankly, this as a miscarriage of justice – and the trial hasn’t even begun.

Mohammed is an enemy combatant whose alleged crimes killed thousands of civilians.  This is not some securities fraud case, people.  And from our vantage point, the only reason Mohammed should be taken to New York at this point is for a public lynching.

Seriously, what right do terrorist masterminds have to American justice?

Tim McVeigh, for example, had every right as an American to avail himself of the American court system – because he was an American citizen.  Mohammed is not, and accordingly does not have that right.

Also, assuming the mainstream media gets its way,  Holder’s decision ensures that the trial will become a referendum on America’s interrogation-gathering methods – not the bloody, savage effectiveness of the asymmetrical warfare Mohammed and his al Qaeda co-conspirators wrought on this nation.

Seriously, these “people” should be strapped to cruise missiles and fired into their homelands as a warning to the others.

“They’ll like us when we win,” ya know?

Of course, Mohammed’s trial isn’t the only news coming out of President Barack Obama’s Department of “Justice.”

In a curious contradiction, Holder has reportedly decided to let the military try Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri – the alleged mastermind of the U.S.S. Cole bombing in 2000 – before a military tribunal.

Some say Obama is only agreeing to try al-Nashiri before a military tribunal because the U.S. government – under President George W. Bush – spent tens of millions of dollars building a new military courtroom at its base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

And obviously, taxpayers are more than a little pissed off about their money being wasted these days …

The trial should be done just like for a citizen and it should be televized, every aspect.

Before being taken to ground zero to be fed his last meal of pork chops and then hung slowly.

There should be a “like” button on your site, just like facebook.

Is it a curious contradiction?
The victims of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed were who? Civilians.
The victims of Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri? Service men and possibly women. Don’t want to say sailors and then have someone come back and say there was a Marine or two. I don’t know the ship’s crew complement and the casualties makeup. But the Cole was an attack on the military, and they should be afford his trial.
I want all those who attacked us brought before our courts and tried. Upon conviction, I want the ones who want to be martyrs to be denied their 70 virgins. I want the ones who do not care to be executed.
The fact that it was an act of war does not abrogate that it was also a horrendously criminal act.

So, if 9/11 terrorist planners are treated to a multi-multi-million dollar “jury trial” by their “peers,” whilst someone who refuses to pay for mandatory “health insurance” gets thrown in jail without a trial.

Yep, Democrat values in action…

This kangaroo trial is all about humiliating George Bush.

Bush will be dragged to testify on the stand and will be tarred and feathered by the terrorist’s attorneys.

Water boarding, Abu Gharib, Gitmo…all will blamed on Bush who will likely be locked up and maybe even hanged by the International Court.

The radical leftists can hardly contain themselves at the prospects…

Obama’s motives are very clear…

Saul Alinsky’s principles at work.

I believe it’s fine to put Bush on trial.

So, we tortured children? Or allowed others to do it for us?
You guys on the right complain about socialism and having to pay more taxes yet turn a blind eye to things like that?
If we did this, than we stand for nothing. I believe in the ideals of this nation, but a nation that does that has just one ideal — survival at all costs, regardless of the consequences.
