Why The Mainstream Media Sucks
We’ve never met “reporter” James Rosen before, but we’re eternally grateful to him.
How come?
Well, the next time somebody accuses us of being biased or inaccurate in our reporting (like the whole “unfair, imbalanced” thing doesn’t give it away), we’re just going to point them in the direction of Rosen – the McClatchy newspaper correspondent in Washington, D.C.
Along with the rest of Washington’s liberal establishment, Rosen gave U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (RINO – S.C.) a nice, fat kiss on the lips for “overcoming widespread GOP opposition and withstanding relentless attacks by Big Oil and allied energy interests.”
What did Graham do, exactly?
That’s easy, he jumped on board a “Cap & Tax” energy proposal that would raise the average American family’s power bill by as much as $4,000 a year, according to President Barack Obama’s own Treasury Department estimates. Oh, and the bill that Graham is now supporting (co-authoring, in fact) will do absolutely nothing to reduce global emissions … but then again that’s not the point of the legislation. It’s a tax increase, pure and simple – which even Graham’s longtime ally (and resident S.C. political numbskull) Henry McMaster has managed to figure out.
But not Rosen.
He planted one right on Lindsey’s lips, including a curious (and borderline unethical) description of the heated back-and-forth currently going on here in South Carolina over Graham’s latest treachery.
Here’s the reference we’re referring to …
First of all, the only thing Graham “endured” at his recent town hall meeting was a bit of backlash from the fight he’s been picking with the fiscal conservative wing of the Republican party for the better part of a year.
Now, as for those “business, military and business” leaders … well, let’s just say that FITS readers know who’s really behind the barrage of pro-Graham ads (click here, here and here if you want to see for yourself).
We can understand reporters making a mistake every once in awhile (hell, we make mistakes all the time), but for Rosen to refer to the leftist assemblage of environmental activists funding Graham’s defense as “business, military and business” leaders is a flat out lie.
Of course anybody familiar with the left-leaning bent of McClatchy’s papers here in the Palmetto State shouldn’t be surprised that the company is seeking to pander to establishment politicians like Graham.
South Carolinians know better, of course, one reason why it’s been an awful few months for McClatchy here – and elsewhere.
Guess that’s what happens when you stop speaking “truth to power” (the company’s motto) and start sucking …

You all realize that anything related to this climate change nonsense will put the US at risk of financial servitude and/or rape and/or ruin, don’t you?
Ask Lord Monkton.
Run like hell, America, from anything associated with this Copenhagen crapola.

If you think cap&trade and government health care are good ideas you have no clue to how our monetary system works. At the rate we are going in debt right now we will be in poverty with no monetary foundation within 10-15 years…With government health care it just speeds up the clock. The politicians know this, they are not stupid. When it collapses it will give them power to re-write our whole government and make us all peasants.

Lindsey Graham is an American statesman. He is a Profiles in Courage style Senator, rarely seen in Washington today, and South Carolina should be proud to have a man like him as part of its delegation.
The fact that he is receiving criticism from FITSNews only bolsters his credibility with the majority of South Carolinians.
Liberals are mad at him for not supporting health care reform; Conservatives are mad at him for supporting cap and trade. Sometimes being a leader isn’t fun…

From Face the Nation….re: Foot Hood massacre.
“At the end of the day this is not about his religion — the fact that this man was a Muslim,” Senator Graham said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”
Lindsey Graham has left South Carolina behind for good…that much is clear. He realizes as long as he throws some red meat at the right wing from time to time, and as long as he can outspend opponents 5 to 1 with money raised in DC and New York, he will never have to worry about what we think again!

Senator Nancy Graham is mentally unstable, but we are letting him do this senator thing due to veteran guilt syndrome.
