Does anyone remember the CSI: from the early 2000s when Kate played--rather convincingly--a transvestite?

Well, if I were in the market, I would. I'm more concerned with performance, though, and what I've read indicates the CTS is a hoot to drive. I'll keep my G35, for now, as it is the best value of them all, and outdrives everything but the BMW. I'm not that big a fan of the looks of the CTS, but I wasn't that big a fan of the G35's, either. But the performance/value won me over. BTW, I wouldn't put Lexus in this conversation until they start to realize real drivers like a manual transmission.

sid, go sit in a cts versus an audi a4 or bmw 3 series(or even a lexus). after you do that, park them side by side and tell me if you think the caddy looks as nice as either of the german offerings.

maybe i'm wrong--reasonable minds can disagree--but to me, the american offerings are empirically unattractive, much in the same way that maggie gyllenhal is empirically unattractive (yeah, i said it). the attention to detail, inside and out... gm and company are still well behind the rest of the world.

Depends on what you mean by "inferior." They generally don't hold up as well as other cars in their respective catagories, but as far as performance, comfort, styling, etc., they seem to compete reasonably well with others as far as "value" goes. At least, that's what most of the auto reviews I've read indicate. I'm fine with what I've got, but if I were in the market for something new, I'd throw the CTS into the mix.

Kate's Cadillac ads DID do the job. The new boss at GM said they were the one advertising success. The trouble is the latter new ones haven't struck the same chord.
