What we are dying for is oil….plain & simple. Our Sons,Daughters,Mothers,Fathers,Sisters,Brothers for a blasted oil line. BTW an interesting film on the failed war on drugs is “American Drug Wars” by Kevin Booth. It used to be free on line, but that was last year. Can you say CIA?

According to CNN, 3 of the dead were DEA personnel. You remember, the war on drugs- just another endless war that drains our already depleted treasury.
These poor people have been growing opium for hundreds of years . It pays well and is all they know how to do to sustain their lives.

We can’t even stop drugs from coming from Mexico – how can we expect to be successful in Afghanistan?

What are you implying? How dare you! Our president is still thinking and slooowly examining all the options.

Until Obamacare passes, don’t expect Obama to make any decisions on Afghanistan. The troops will just have to wait.
