Tell Gresham Barrett Stuff

gresham barrett stuff

After spending eight months regurgitating a bunch of 1994 “Republican” talking points with a not-so-bright look on his face, U.S. Rep. Gresham Barrett is finally putting a sock in it and (gasp) soliciting ideas from the unwashed masses.

Amazing, isn’t it?

“I’ve spent the past eight months traveling the state, telling voters what I think we should to do change the way Columbia does business …” Barrett says in the latest email missive from his campaign. “Now I want to take the time to hear what you think.”

Is this guy serious?  He really

Of course not … politicians don’t care what you think.   In fact, the whole thing is probably just an excuse to get your email address.  You know, sort of like our morning blast email service.

Anyway, here’s a link to the “Tell Gresham Anything” page, assuming you’re interested in pointless ventings of your spleen …

You know your biggest problem with Gresham Barrett is he isn’t Nikki Haley.

I met Nikki Haley in Rock Hill yesterday. Hands down she is the one I’m voting for. The rest of the guys just want to be called Govenor. She actually wants to reform this BS Ole’ boy state. The next Tea Party I want to attend will be in Columbia to kick Harrell and McConnell in the ass.

Bailout Barrett, Go Home!!

You were delivered a message from conservative South Carolinians via the Greenville Tea Partiers that your vote for the Tarp Bailout of AIG and Citicorp is not and will not be forgotten. These folks expressed my feelings and opinions when they not only booed you but turned their back on you at the Greenville Tea Party in April. In my view, YOUR VOTE FOR THE TARP BAILOUT WAS A VOTE FOR THE DEMISE OF OUR FREE MARKET ECONOMY. I can’t believe you’re still running for public office, YOU TRAITOR!! It’s going to be my high honor and privilege to cast a vote against both Bailout Barrett and Bailout Henry Brown in the June 2010 primary.

VOTE THESE BUMS OUT IN 2010.

Wow, he wants us to tell him what we think? Has he lost it or does he think we are so stupid to forget. For a man that has voted against and down graded every man woman and child here in SC to now want to fool us into thinking he cares and will work for us is off his rocker. He should have listened long time ago but he voted the way he wants to not the way the people wanted. To quote a movie line Barrett “you can’t handle the truth” if we did tell you what we think. Oh, I like the way you skipped out on the vote for or against Joe so you can try to be neutral but by doing that showed me you were to Chicken to show your true colors so for that I vote No when I see your name.
Barrett I expect for my Governor to have management ability and to be able to make decisions be them right or wrong but to at least make the decision. You Failed.

Amen, Mike!

Nikki Haley gets out to actually meet the people. When they see her and hear her, they realize she is down-to-earth and genuine in her outrage on the behalf of all hard working folks.

Nikki makes sense and her politics are firmly based on sound conservative principles. She wants transparency in all voting and spending by the legislature and they’re scared to death of her being governor. That alone is enough for me to vote for her. She’d be the biggest “IN-YOU-FACE!” message the voters can send to the many crooks in the General Assembly.

Nikki Haley represents those of us who are honest about what we want. She feels the same outrage we do. She’s for those of us who aren’t trying to game the system but want it to be a “we, the people” govt.

She, too, is tired of the same old “they, the fascist elites” type of good ol’ boy corporatism that the Gen. Assembly powers-that-be have developed into an art.

As far as ranking, by the time of the primary, she’ll have shaken so many voters’ hands and convinced them in person of her earnestness that she’ll at least make the primary. Baerbarrettmcmastah will split the good ol’ corruption vote 3 ways.

I wouldn’t be too surprised if she won out right after the good ol’ boys have shown how obviously phony they are. Watching them speak is like watching Lonesome Rhodes (from “A Face in the Crowd”) X 3!

CORRECTION: That should be “primary runoff.”
