Um, is “voucher clown” a technical expression? I was actually going to say something nice about the column (title excepted), but I’ll have to know more about “voucher clowns” first.

Just look at Sanford’s schedule any given week and that is proof that he DOES NOTHING TO CREATE JOBS for SC. Usually Mondays and Fridays are totally free on his schedule and I am pretty sure he has never worked a weekend in his life.

Scooter – less government means less taxes, which means more money for people to spend on what they want.

I get sick of this mindset that only government can create jobs or stir up economic activity. All it can do is take away from people with the threat of force.

If you think force is not there, try not paying your taxes and see what happens.

How can shrinking government build jobs? People lose their jobs! People can’t get services. I do not disagree with the bad opinion of Sanford and some of his spawn, but shrinking government is over the top. State agencies are already down to rock bottom with staff, but people still need the services. Lets talk about why some folks want to get rid of services for others. Maybe they just do not care about their fellow human beings.

The only real job-creation machine is those individuals who work hard, advance themselves and make wise decisions about their careers and their businesses.

No circle jerk … um, roundtable discussion … can create jobs, except to employ the catering service that provides a (usually) taxpayer-funded lunch for all the backslappers and gladhanders.
