I watched the story all afternoon. I was hoping the little fellow would be fine. Glad he is. He is just 6 years old. We may never know what really happened, but the police on site said all afternoon that the parents truly were afraid for their child. They never questioned the parents’ concern and honesty. But who knows. All I know is a 6 year’s brain does not and can not operate like an adult’s. Children will be children.

It has to be a hoax. It’s not like the kid ran off and was in the wilderness the whole time. He was in the safety of his home. What parent would not tear up his house and any other usual hiding places looking for his son in a situation like this? I hope this “story” goes away, unless it is to report the parents’ punishment.
