When it comes to much ballyhooed, televised girl-on-girl lip locks, we’ve been fooled before.
Specifically, we’re referring to the thoroughly unsatisfying smooch between Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston (yeah, how do you manage to screw that up?), as well as the oft-implied (yet still unfulfilled) promise of some Danica Patrick girl-on-girl action.
Seriously, that one gets us every Super Bowl.
Anyway, Hayden Panettiere of the NBC (that’s right, NBC) show Heroes has thankfully decided to spare us the suspense. In fact, Panetierre (a.k.a. “Claire Bennet”) and Heroes guest star Madeline Zima (denim bikini, above) proceed directly to some serious gal-on-gal spit-swapping in a heavily-promoted clip from Monday night’s episode.

Frankly, the hottest thing about this Sapphic smooch is Zima’s character. “Gretchen” is 100% unhinged and her motivations are clearly under suspicion, but “Claire” lets her kiss her anyway.
Things like that restore our faith in America, people.
Obviously we’ll be tuning into Heroes for the first (and in all likelihood the last) time Monday night to watch this smooch go down in glorious high definition.
