Someday, The Mountains Might Git ‘Em …
We’re pretty sure that S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford and Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer were not at all what country music legend Waylon Jennings had in mind when he composed his hit theme to the Dukes of Hazzard …
But South Carolina is a poor, uneducated man’s Hazzard County, and it’s obvious at this point that both politicians feel the need … the need for speed.
So c’mon, y’all …
“Making their wa-a-a-a-y … the only way they know how … that’s just a little bit more than the law will allow …”
Yee-haw, right? And while this clip isn’t set to the famous song, it does provide a rare look at the songwriter appearing in a vintage Dukes episode with “Bo” and “Luke.”
Enjoy …
Oh, and here’s a larger version of the image for the screen-saver inclined among you …

I was at the USC-Kentucky game on Saturday, thoroughly enjoying a Saturday afternoon with my daughter. In the third quarter, who should come sashaying up the aisle but Andre Bauer – followed by a winsome young (at least for an increasingly grizzled specimen like myself) woman with long dark hair. Since Andre headed into the club seats (East side lower stands), I am pretty sure he took the long route to get some face time.
What I really want to know, however, is why was Andre out hawking “Framed Prints” of Williams Bryce out of the back of a pickup truck for $25 immediately after the game at the main pedestrian crossing over to the fair grounds parking. Is this some new form of fund raising initiative or is it Andre’s schlocky entreprenurial spirit?

Seldom disagree with your news, however this time you have crossed the line. No car, especially the General Lee, deserves the disrespect you have displayed by having two of the biggest cockroaches in the State of South Carolina perched in the windows. It would have been more appropriate if they were pictured in a septic tank truck.

Sic, that is by far the best picture ever posted on any political website.

Go Cocks! Andre sells those paintings and some other things for his foundation, not for his campaign. And he has had that girlfriend for quite some time now.

All knowing one – thanks for the info. I feel marginally better about one of my elected politicians now.

I agree with Beentook, anyone with that much disrespect of things Hazzard County should be boiled in oil. The General Lee is an American icon for Hells sake. This guy must be a yankee.
