“You Lie!” The Bumper Sticker
You knew they were coming … the only question was what color they would be and how artfully they would incorporate the ubiquitous Barack Obama “O-Rise” logo into the overall design aesthetic.
We’re talking, of course, about “You Lie!” bumper stickers, the adhesive version of U.S. Rep. Addison Graves “Joe” Wilson’s anti-Obama outburst during a joint session of Congress last month.
Here’s the thing … we’re all for these stickers. 100%. In fact, we may even get one for the Family Truckster.
They’re colorful, ideologically-sound and best of all, perfectly polite … i.e. all things “Joe” Wilson is not.
Like we said at the time, “Obama is a liar and deserves to be called out as one – but not like that. Wilson’s shocking lack of decorum disrespected the Office of the President and our nation’s democratic tradition, and he should be ashamed of himself for disgracing our state in such a way.”
These stickers, on the other hand, are awesome … another thing “Joe” Wilson is not.

While much of the world celebrated Pope Benedict’s canonization of 5 new saints…Pat Robertson’s CBN News headlined them as *Aaints* for most of the day. A Catholic staffer has apparently corrected the typo.

If Joe Wilson had held his comments, and after the address went out to the lobby and stood in line for a microphone with a hundred other congressional no-bodies, would his comment be effective?
Fact is, his comment, combined with the timing, hit home.
To hell with decorum, we need more people who can be effective.
