Post & Courier Talkin’ Trash
And you thought all the “nanny-nanny-boo-boo” taunting we do at the expense of our (cough) “rival” S.C. political blogs was immature … looks like the need to rub the nose of one’s competition in their own inferiority extends to the mainstream media as well.
Take this little nugget from the Charleston (S.C.) Post and Courier’s Twitter page:
For those of you fumbling for your bifocals, relax. The tweet says “The Post and Courier is now the largest circulation newspaper in South Carolina, 94,133 to The State’s 91,255.”
Of course both papers have seen their circulation drop precipitously in recent years, due in large part to … well, us.
Oh … and due to old people dying.

Simple fact of life about the Newsless Courier – its got a point of view and doesn’t let the news get in the way of its propaganda.
Maybe one day it might even publish an opposing view.

The chuck town City Paper, besides having more adult ads, never shrunk page size, offers more classifieds and better writing (and is FREE). Did I say better writing? Better writing!
Gotta consider, when the Posthole Urinal’s best writers are an aging sports broadcaster and a transplant from thei sports page, not even the wrasslin editor/columnist Michael Mooneyhan will save it for long.
I’m still trying though to figger out how to wrap fish with FITS for the freezer.

The naive notion that the decline in newspaper circulation is b/c of one S.C. blog is laughable. The day that newspapers and other traditional media die and all we have left is biased blogs who aren’t held accountable, don’t bother with corrections, rely primarily on gossip and don’t bother to get both sides of a story is terrifying. And incredibly unamerican.
