Letterman Admits Affairs, Exposes Extortion Plot
Anybody smell a “Top Ten” list brewing?
Late night funny guy David Letterman’s show took a turn to Serious Town on Thursday night, as the comedian confessed to having affairs with female members of his staff and exposed a $2 million extortion plot against him.
“This morning, I did something I’ve never done in my life,” Letterman said on the program. “I had to go downtown and testify before a grand jury.”
Three weeks ago, Letterman says he received a package from someone who claimed to have evidence of his affairs with certain Late Show employees.
“My response to that is, yes I have,” Letterman said of the allegations. “Would it be embarrassing if it were made public? Perhaps it would. I feel like I need to protect these people. I need to certainly protect my family.”
Letterman married his longtime girlfriend Regina Lasko (pictured here), last year. The couple have a six year old son.
The 62-year-old host has been a fixture on late night television for more nearly three decades – the last decade-and-a-half on CBS. His “Top Ten” lists have become part of American pop culture.
The as-yet-unnamed alleged extortionist was arrested Thursday after Letterman participated in a sting operation with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.

I haven’t watched the show in years… since Letterman adopted the cranky old man persona… But the last funny bits I recall viewing were with “Stephanie” the intern/page… I bet… Hmmmmm…
She was hot.

Oh, also… They arrested the hubby, but the female in question is STILL EMPLOYED! Yow.

What do you expect from a guy who joked about Palin’s 14-year-old daughter being raped during a baseball game?

he did not joke that the daughter was raped. just the she had hooked up with the player.

The joke was about the older daughter, jackass.
Also… Just read… I guess it *was* Stephanie. I continue to be pretty good at sniffing out affairs. I may have a future in political consulting…

Well, the daughter at the game was under the age of consent, I believe, so while it may not be “rape-rape,” TW/Whoopie, it would be, by legal definition, rape. Don’t they still call that statutory “rape”?

Why does anyone care that David Letterman has sex with his employees? He’s not a politician, he’s an entertainer and last time I checked they aren’t generally held to high moral standards.

Geeze, has the entire Republican party been cock blocked for all their life?

Anyone surprised? We all know Letterman as a biased, liberal perv.

There is no federal age of consent in the US, it varies from 14-18 depending upon the specific jurisdiction.
It was Palin pushing her daughters out into the public for the world to see, and the world ended up seeing a little too much. Palin did still exploit the situation.

In the immortal words of Robert Ford “A man’s got to be a MAN!”

Alec,
Thanks for clearing that up. I wonder how many of Letterman’s “ladies” wear braces and Miley Cyrus tees.

Sorry I missed the show. Was Little Cisco Bauer on the stage? Was he there as the unofficial extortionist? Maybe he was the unofficial source of information. Was he anything unofficial? He had to be there. With his official unofficial status he is welcomed everywhere. It is going to be scarier than hell when he becomes anything official official. Other than a dork, which is already official.

Who said anything about a federal age of consent? In New York, it’s 17. I looked it up, but you seem to have the national range, which is a little creepy. The daughter at the game was 14. So, that’s statutory rape in New York. And if the children of all politicians are now fair game in your world, simply because they are their children (they have generally been part of campaigns since people started campaigning), then you’ve got a pretty sad little life.

Letterman is not funny. He is not handsome.
Does it all come down to sex and power?
“Hollywood” is full of perverts, drugies and sexpots. What do you expect from Letterman.
A man is what he drives.
A man is his job.
A man is only as good as his last f+#k?
