Jon is a schmucky, passive-aggressive asshole who was picked on in high school and has years of therapy to go before he can be considered a whole person. Kate is an absolutely quintessential bitch of the highest order. Her mother must have been so unhappy. Seriously, these children must GTFO ASAP!
