You Love Us … You Really, Really Love Us …

As South Carolina enters the fourth month of its “Post-Maria” political landscape, FITS News continues to post steady gains in online traffic – much to the chagrin of a Palmetto political establishment that wishes we would just go away.

Unfortunately for them (but fortunately for our bank accounts), over the last five months FITS has received a whopping 4,189,520 page views.

Take a look …

So … what does that mean?

Well, it means we’re rich. It also means that we’re keeping a huge chunk of the audience that we gained from the massive “bump” that all S.C. websites received courtesy of Gov. Mark Sanford’s “sexcapades” with Latin lover Maria Belen Chapur.

Finally, it means we’ve been able to add a new Director of Advertising and Special Projects (a.k.a. mystery girl) to our staff.

And trust us, we can’t wait to formally introduce y’all …

Some of us who had been reading FITS for a while did our share to promote SC non-msn media and blogs during the Sanford Saga. We regularly posted the links on national boards read by those from the msm for news tips.

Corporate news media liars and propagandists are losing out to local bloggers and other such news sources.

Be brave about it and put a hit counter on your page. Nice to see the bounce. Let’s get it higher!

McFailure has made a point. We desperately need real news with verifiable facts that take time and money to produce. Please use a little of that new cash to be productive where it really counts.
