Don’t Joke About Killing Obama

obama crosshairs

For the record, we don’t want to see Barack Obama dead.  We advocate the assassination of bad ideas, not misguided people.

Plus, every time some kooky cracker gets all frothy at the mouth and starts talking about offing “The One,” the vast majority of us non-racist white folk have to do the whole “nuclear attack drill” and hide under our desks until the fallout blows over.

Listen up, Barnaby … the American free market system has survived a lot over the last 230 years … it will survive Obama.

This is why news that a “Should Obama be killed” poll was launched over the weekend on the popular social networking site Facebook is a most unwelcome development.  Most unwelcome, indeed.

From ABC News:

Posted over the weekend, the poll was removed by Facebook after the Secret Service received a tip and contacted the company, which was not aware of the survey, sources tell ABC News.

“When the Secret Service became aware of the poll we worked with Facebook to have it taken down and are conducting an investigation,” said a spokesman for the Secret Service.

The poll asked: “Should Obama be killed?” The answer choices: “No,” “Maybe,” “Yes” and “Yes if he cuts my health care.”

Good Lord.

Aside from deducting points for raising the specter of a Presidential assassination, the clown who posted this poll should also get docked for lack of originality.

Seriously, if you’re going to get taken down by the Secret Service for threatening the life of the President, do us all a favor and don’t parrot the GOP talking points.

Or maybe that was the point …

The sad part is that there is so much propaganda these days stirring up hate for Obama. Just watch Faux News for 5 minutes( if you can stomach it) or listen to rant radio and you begin to feel pity for the poor uneducated souls that absorb all this hate mongering and think it is real news.

We had access to better news when we only had 3 channels and could watch someone like Walter Cronkite to stay informed.

Red,

Good point. The problem, though, is that those “three channels” turned into Obamamercials.

To state the obvious, people have too much time on their hands. Myself included.

Our government needs to be working harder getting some jobs back real soon. In addition, charitable orginazations should offer more folks an opportunity to volunteer.

In Chesterfield County, deep in the country, are the remants of a park. A swing, a couple of other playground pieces. I was told that during the Great Depression, groups of unemployed men were organized to build these parks. They were paid practically nothing, but it kept them busy doing something good for the community.

Why can’t our leaders do this today? Too busy wading through political slime and covering their rear ends?. Also, at least here in the Upstate, charitable groups generally only want “outstanding” folks doing any type of work within their organizations.

Top that with so many of our jobs being given to foreigners. I say that with absolutely no predudice. Simply, what day of the week can Americans go to another country and find gainful employment in vast numbers? Others countries aren’t that foolish.

Funny how in Fits’s sacred “free market” economy I was able to watch me some Socialist Football last night, where the Dallas Cowboys played in a brand-new stadium built — not by the wealthy football team owner himself — but by the taxpayers, as part of the damndest welfare scheme nobody ever wrote about.

Fits — if you could somehow corral ole Strom’s Daughter, you should give her a feature column. She writes some funny she-ite!

SD,
Sounds like old news in Texas. George W invested 600k in the Rangers, and after the tax payers picked up the tab for a new stadium with new sales taxes, he parlayed that into $25,000,000.00 Sweet deal, huh?

Here’s a new poll:

How long before some nut tosses a shot at Obama?
Over/Under one year.
I’m leaning to over, but barely.

Maybe all the “joe rules” rednecks will start to think that their ranting and raving will promote another American veteran Christian patriot like Timothy McVeigh to carry their banner of hatred into mainstream American neighborhoods. Wow, I can’t wait.

I’ll take the over – President Hopey Changey is way to valuable an asset for the Republican Party.

ps….10-1 the poll was a plant by a democrat operative somewhere in Chicago where even Federal agents are afraid to tread….

By Pat Hendrix on September 29th, 2009 at 11:15 pm

I was waiting for someone to suggest this was a conspiracy. Thanks James, you win.

Hey, how are President Hopey Changey’s poll numbers? Let me give you a hint: They’re more than double than W’s. The Republicans in Congress? Yikes. Try tripple.

Pat, I agree that Bush was an asshole, but not just because he was a Republican. Obama is closeing the gap on assholiedness very fast, soon he will be a complete asshole like you! Anyway, Obama was elected to end the wars and he has not done it, he has actually expanded the wars and has been bombing Pakistan. He also keeps beating the war drum to Iran. He has kept every bad Bush policy in place. You can still be thrown in jail indefinitely without a reason or trial, wire taped, spied on, searched and tortured rite here in the good ole never do wrong USA. Pat you really need to take the party blinders off! How can this be any thing other than a conspiracy. Why is he not doing what he was elected to do?

By Monkeydarts on September 30th, 2009 at 10:04 am

Somebody writing in the comments here might want to actually do some research about how the new Cowboy’s Stadium construction was funded before asserting that the taxpayers paid the entire bill. Nah, don’t bother. Rave on!

Dirt,
You have no idea the totality of my assholeness based on what I write here. Similarly, I can’t fathom the depths of your stupidity and hypocrisy. We can can only skim the surface.

By the way, a precipitous withdrawl of troops from those countries was never proposed. To do so would cause mass dislocations and reverse whatever limited gains they had made in stabalizing their countries. You would know this if you didn’t traffic in conspiracy theories and nonsense.

By dirtbogger on September 30th, 2009 at 10:44 am

Pat, why should it be our role to be policemen of the world and why should my tax dollars pay for it all. If we were not medeling in the affairs of other countries, why would they hate us? If you want to challenge my conspiricy theories I suggest you pack a lunch. Tell me where I am wrong debate them dont just call them crazy, and try to ridicule them. Please try to use facts and not your usual bullshit tactics. Cudos for admitting to being an asshole, I am glad that you imbrace your shittyness!

By sid on September 30th, 2009 at 3:49 pm

My guess is that Pat cannot “fathom the depths” of anyone’s “stupidity and hypocrisy” because he has already hit the bottom of what was previously thought a bottomless ocean. Thus, all other levels of “stupidity and hypocrisy” are so far above him that he has lost all perspective, and all ability to quantifiably measure such things. Similarly, he’s likely so great an asshole that he has no real way of telling if someone else is just kind of an asshole, or a complete and utter asshole, as he’s so greatly eclipsed what was once thought the benchmark for true “assholeness.”
