Barack Obama Is Everywhere (Except FOX)

obama tv blitz

U.S. President Barack Obama blitzkrieg’d every major American television network on Sunday – well, except FOX News – in a last ditch bid to build support for his unpopular socialized medicine proposal.

Obama’s media offensive is unprecedented, effectively turning American into …

Obama’s multiple interviews – which were actually taped on Friday – appeared Sunday on CBS’s “Face The Nation,” ABC’s “This Week” NBC’s “Meet The Press” CNN’s “State Of The Union” and Univision’s “Al Punto con Jorge Ramos.”

Sunday’s round of interviews was also preceded by visits with “60 Minutes,” Bloomberg and CNBC and will be followed by a Monday night appearance on the David Letterman show.

“Obama overexposure” has already been a hot topic of conversation among media elites, as the President’s unsuccessful push to get his government-run health care proposal passed prior to the August Congressional recess generated significant debate back in July.

“He’s overexposed,” Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer said at the time. “He’s a great rock star, but even rock stars can outstay their welcome. He should only go out there on his own when he has something new to say and dramatic … I think it’s — the faith he has in his own eloquence, it’s larger than the reality of his own influence.”

Obviously, Obama’s people don’t think so.  But will the blitz of talk show appearances work?

Not if Obama keeps straying from his message …

Rather than focus on health care, Obama used four of the five interviews he conducted Sunday to bash the media for sensationalism.

Obama chided the media on CBS saying that it chose to “focus the most extreme elements on all sides.”

“They can’t get enough of conflict,” he said.

On NBC, Obama said a discussion of race was “like catnip to the media.”

During his CNN appearance, Obama pleaded for the press to “reward decency and civility in our political discourse.”

Not surprisingly, most of the media coverage of Obama’s remarks are focused not on health care, but his criticism of the Fourth Estate.

Ironically, the last person to appear on five network news shows in one day was also aggressively promoting a health care-related proposal.  U.S. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton appeared on five networks – including FOX – on September 23, 2007.

Good Grief! This man’s “omnipresence” reminds of what it must be like to live in Venezuela and hear Chavez’s five-hour speeches running on every single tv channel…

It is nice to see a president working so hard for the American people.

Yes indeed! I think it’s imperative that we pass healthcare reform NOW, even though it doesn’t start for another 4 years…Hey! If it is so important, why wait 4 years to implement it?

Hmmmm…How extremely odd…

The aspects of health care insurance reform that will impact middle-class people who already have insurance will start the day after the bill is signed. They include an end to preexisting conditions exclusions. That alone will benefit millions of Americans.

The President needs to address as many demographics as possible to correct false claims such as health care insurance reform is a government takeover of health care. The Democrats slipped by not countering the August deluge of astroturf propaganda from the GOP and beneficiaries of the status quo. Now, they must recover lost ground.

His performance was lack-luster however. I say, keep talking! Every time he opens his mouth it is clear that he:
1. Doesn’t know what he is talking about
2. Dances around the fact that “his plan” is not in a current bill before congress.
3. Is lagging in support for “his plan”. They are even requesting that certain states not poll the public as it will bring more bad news.
4. Is going to lose this battle. – you can’t sell the public something they don’t want. It is so clear that he only says what he thinks people want to hear . . . budget neutral (this is perhaps the largest lie of the bunch), cuts to other programs (like a democrat ever considered that).

Get the government out of HEALTHCARE is the only way to fix it. I asked my doctor last visit what he was going to do if this took effect, his answer was RETIRE! He was not kidding. The government wants to take away your FREEDOMS and control EVERY part of your life.

So, ‘Patriot,’ you will be withdrawing from government programs such as Social Security and Medicare?

@Interloper if I could withdraw from paying into Social Security and the likes I would gladly do that and invest on my own and not take any money from the gov’t.

This comes from someone that was let go because of the economy in December and has not taken any money for unemployment.
