Dunta Does USC Proud (Not)
First of all, what the hell kind of a name is “Dunta?”
Of course in all fairness, what the hell kind of a name is Spaulding (as in “Spaulding get your foot off the boat”)?
Anyway, “Dunta” Robinson – who prowled the defensive backfield at the University of South Carolina back in the Lou Holtz era – was fined $25,000 by the Houston Texans for wearing shoes with the words “Pay Me, Rick” written on them during his team’s 24-7 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday.
The message was a reference to the team’s general manager, Rick Smith.
Robinson is reportedly upset about his lack of a long-term contract, although in typical responsibility-averse fashion he tried to pretend that his message was really about getting money for a “Boys or Girls Club” or a “needy family.”
“Help me help you,” right?
Whatever …
It’s sure good to know that the “proving grounds” at the University of South Carolina are producing such quality role models, isn’t it?
Oh well … “Spaulding get your foot off the boat …”

Hey, what’s wrong with the name Dunta? Every white person I know, including me, is named after some saint. Or in case of Charleston people, their richest relative.
“Middleton, get your foot off the boat.”

Here’s some ideas for The State’s Thursday’s pre-Ole Miss sports section. One of their staff members just needs to ask him the questions!

2) Have you ever actually been inside what is referred to as a “classroom” at USC, and if so, which one? How uncomfortable was it and how long were you made to stay?
3) If you had to pick one, would you rather learn to read or write?
4) Which Chester area nightclub gives one the best chance to get shot at? And how many people have you personally shot there?
