ACORN, What?
ACORN this, ACORN that . . . we’ve honestly been avoiding all the headlines. The whole thing seems blandly entrenched and just so damned industrial, too tedious for our taste.
Which is why we’re guessing some (many?) of you might be interested. So, here’s the scoop.
ACORN, a vast “community outreach” group, is mere pawn and proxy, a fabricated brigade on the battleground for partisan dominance.
Bobbing in and out of national attention, ACORN is not unlike pop tart Britney Spears – something about which we only care when there’s some kind of collision. Last we heard of ACORN was in the fall of 2008, when it was engaging in naughty voter registration practices – sticking a leg out for Republican John McCain and giving a leg up to Democrat Barack Obama.
So, the stage was already set: Right versus left … surprise, surprise.
Now, a year forward, the context – partisanship – is the same, only this time packaged in different pretext.
Secretly taped videos have recently surfaced, the most scandalous of which shows ACORN workers advising deceptive tax strategy to an undercover pimp and prostitute.
Tax cheating is a big deal?
Actually, no, it’s not a big deal (for Obama’s Cabinent appointments, at least).
Tax cheating doesn’t get major media play unless you happen to be availing yourself of the very tax money you’re refusing to cough up. (It’s kind of like those penny pots they have at some places of retail: It’s not so bad if you don’t put pennies in there, as long as you don’t ever take any out. Good form, and all that).
Thus it is that ACORN now finds itself at the center of a brewing mess.
Specifically, the federal government, together with some state governments, has voted to freeze subsidies pending an investigation into ACORN’s practices. And good for them.
But thus cometh the drama, and the real reason anyone cares: Republicans are craving an opportunity to conflate ACORN with the left, and with that an air of embedded impropriety, forcing the Democratic party to turn its back to its most ideologically aligned civilian counterpart.
Us?
We’re just keeping an eye out for our pimps and hoes …

I can’t really fault ACORN on this one, of course they were trying to game the system, that poor pimp and hoe were Taxed Enough Already.

Acorn aided and abetted in international child sex trafficking, statutory rape and a slew of other counts. SIX different regional offices didn’t bat an eye when they were told 13 to 15-year-old children would be brought into the country and put in a brothel. They helped them out! How is this a political issue? Whether Democrat or Republican leaning is way beyond the point.
I am disgusted that you would put such a ridiculous slant on this. This kind of ‘lie by omission’ journalism is unethical to the extreme.

Acorn is so, like, yesterday. Today it’s about the Czars. Come on fits, strap on those tinfoil hats and start screeching about the Czars! The Czars, damnit!
Hey, I noticed David Vitter is one of the biggest critics of Acorn. But how does he stand on the pimps and hos angle?

Did you see the chick who was playing the role of HO? She is WAY too hot to be walking the streets with a pimp. Should’ve been a dead giveaway to the ACORN staffer.

Don’t expect integrity from ACORN; they are too busy spending your hard-earned money! After all, Obama worked hand in hand with ACORN for years…he’s not gonna throw them under the bus, like he just threw Eastern Europe…

Wow….are people so blind!!???.We have been slowly lead down a road of more and more socialism by communist sympathizers for decades. It is just now so obvious people are waking up.
Keeping the population uneducated and slanting them slowly away from liberty with fake chants of racism and white quilt.Promoting policies that keep blacks uneducated and dependant on government to survive…
Acorn and its branches are just one of the arms that entrench these policies and bring with them paid protesters to jump at call…
We have had enough and it will stop here!! We will vote out the politicians that promote anti-constitutional policies and those that make deals with them..(Graham)

Acorn is defeated! They will now disappear into yesterday! I am so excited to see these “community organizers” or better described community agitators disappear. One more community agitator to send home in the next election!
