Allegedly as I attempted to contact him regarding an issue in my neighborhood. Two phone call, a letter, two E-mails and NO response. NOTHING. So, I took the next route and contacted Tameika Devine, my councilperson-at-large on the same issue and it was resolved in a few days. Still waiting to hear from Finlay. Needless to say, if he runs, and his ego will not allow him to pass this up, I can only use past performance as an indicator of what to expect. Can't vote for that. The man used to sport a bumper sticker that said something to the tune of "more people died at Chappaquiddick than at Abu Ghraib" First, the statement seems to have been shown to be factually incorrect. More importantly, I found the bumper sticker to be an example of remarkably poor taste - justifying behaviour that is diametrically opposed to longstanding Army ideals of honor by comparing to a deplorable lapse in judgement by Senator Kennedy. Finlay has some fiscal conservative bona fides to be justifiably proud of, but I can't imagine voting for a guy who has such poor taste!
