sorry skywriting

With South Carolina GOP leaders embarrassing themselves (and apologizing) on an almost daily basis this summer, we figured it was time to get a sense of who was giving the best mea culpa

For those of you educated in one of South Carolina’s failing schools, mea culpa means “my fault” or “my own fault.”

So … was it weepy Mark Sanford?  Or perhaps whiny Joe Wilson?  Or what about contrite Rusty DePass?  You remember Rusty, right?  He’s the guy whose June “Gorillaz” scandal kicked off South Carolina’s “Summer of National Embarrassment.”

For our money, we’re waiting on disgraced S.C. School Board Chairman Kristin Maguire to return from Canada and face the cameras …

Which disgraced S.C. Republican had the most sincere, heartfelt apology?

Tommy Ravenel did a pretty good job on his apologies. He then went away and left us alone.

I can’t recall at the moment, but how did disgraced Commissioner of Agriculture Charlie Sharpe and State Treasurer Thomas Ravenel do in the apology department? The Republican Party can really pick’em. They might improve the situation by just throwing darts at the phone book when they choose candidates for office.

Dems don’t apologize; did Ted Kennedy every apologize to Judge Bork or Justice Thomas for his slander?

By CNSYD on September 14th, 2009 at 6:25 pm

silas, no Teddy runs and hides when he is wrong. Ask Mary Jo.

By Nyet on September 14th, 2009 at 9:23 pm

Yeah — we want a do-over with T-Rav in it.
