Now Joe Wilson Finds His Lungs

joe wilson

Among South Carolina news outlets, FITS has been among the most aggressive in decrying the rabidly anti-American brand of socialism that President Barack Obama is attempting to foist on our recession-ravaged nation.

Seriously, people … bureaucratic bailouts, new energy taxes, socialized medicine … you name it, and we’ve been kicking Obama’s teeth in (deservedly) on a daily basis.

Of course, we don’t distinguish when it comes to ripping people who are ripping apart our nation’s competitive spirit – which is why prior to Obama’s election last year we were among the most aggressive outlets in decrying the GOP’s big government betrayal of its fiscal conservatism principles.

Among the horde of sycophantic, hypocritical, free-spending Republican-In-Name-Only (RINO) politicians on the receiving end of our unmitigated scorn was U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson, the moron who put South Carolina back in the national headlines by heckling Obama during his big health care speech Wednesday night.

“You lie!” Wilson yelled at Obama during the speech, twice in fact.

Here’s the clip …

First of all, Obama is a liar and deserves to be called out as one – but not like that.  Wilson’s shocking lack of decorum disrespected the Office of the President and our nation’s democratic tradition, and he should be ashamed of himself for disgracing our state in such a way.

In fact, the next time Wilson holds a public meeting and claims to be “protecting the taxpayers” or some such other GOP “panderblather,” let’s hope someone stands up and calls his RINO ass what he is – a big fat liar.

After all, the precedent has been set.

The larger question, though, is why did it take this long for Joe Wilson to discover his lungs?  Weren’t there any big government lies to protest during the Bush years?

Oh right, Wilson was voting for all of those.

Seriously, people … if Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) or Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) wanted to stand up in the Capitol Chamber and heckle Obama, we’d have criticized their lack of decorum but defended their right to say what they said.

They’ve got real records of protecting the taxpayers to stand on.

Joe Wilson?

He’s a typical South Carolina RINO who needs to STFU.

Rep. Joe Wilson is ...

Joe Wilson had his coming out party tonight. Not sure what you guys are doing up there in South Carolina, but you have a steady stream of douche bags cocked and ready to fire.

    God bless you.

You need to bring him down with you next time. I’d love to have him heckling us while were wrestling in a tub of raspberry J-E-L-L-O (sugar free, of course).

House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn , a fellow South Carolinian, said Wilson’s heckling was more damaging to South Carolina’s reputation than the exploits of Republican Gov. Mark Sanford , who admitted to having an extramarital affair with an Argentinian woman.

“I thought he [the governor] had embarrassed us as much as we could be embarrassed. But to have a congressman use the floor of the House of Representatives in a joint session to insult the president the way Joe Wilson did is as embarrassing as anything anyone could think of,” Clyburn said. “Our state can do without this.”

    Good old Joe. Always consistent.

He loves getting HIS health insurance from the government and paid for with the taxpayers’ money. But he’ll be damned if he’ll give taxpayers under 65 the option to use their money to make a choice to buy their own insurance from a government plan.

Likewise he’d rather poor people drop dead than get welfare from the feds. But he never met a government giveaway of taxpayers dollars to big companies and banks he couldn’t wait to vote for.

Another Bad week for the party of family values

Mike Duvall was sitting in the Assembly chamber in Sacramento recently, chatting with a fellow lawmaker, when the subject turned to sex. According to the tape acquired by KCAL in Los Angeles, Duvall said in part:

“So, I am getting into spanking her. I like spanking her. She goes, ‘I know you like spanking me.’ I said, ‘Yeah! Because you’re such a bad girl!’”

Until one of these clowns, Republican, Democrat, it means nothing addresses the threat of us becoming a third world nation decimated by inflation and an out of control government spending its way around the merry go round of pork barrel projects all the while using smoke and mirrors with its bought media to tell everyone its for the public good and the economy when in reality the government gangster cartel with the piggy bank of unlimited wealth at expense of the peons that are the American people called the Federal Reserve is happy the write the check and make the next generation work to pay off the debt we have enslaved ourselves with! Unless I’m mistaken, Little Joe’s claim to fame as a SC Senator was his 100% attendance record, and the only bill I know of that he spearheaded was a law making it illegal to throw your cigarette butts on the ground. The rest of the time, he was parroting whatever garbage was being fed to him by Ed McMullen or Hal Eberle, or whatever he had memorized from listening to tapes of Rush Limbaugh’s daily diatribes. Positioning a cassette tape recorder by the radio, recording the broadcast everyday and driving those tapes to Wilson’s law office was the #1 job duty for a certain staff member.

But forced to think on his feet was not pretty for Wilson. Still fondly remembered among Senate Staff: A hot debate on a now-forgotten issue was got hotter when Sen Jim Bryan repeatedly hammered Wilson, who was at the podium, with questions he couldn’t answer: “What is your position?” “What is your position Senator?” “Answer the question.” “Answer the question!” “You’re not answering the question. Answer the question Senator from Lexington.” He couldn’t answer the questions. Senators breathless with laughter begged Bryan to stop. He finally sat down and let poor old Joe take the walk of shame back to his Senate desk.

Joe took another walk of shame after getting plastered by his colleagues after his speech(the ones that actually knew he was a Congressman) for his abrupt interruption. Knowing Joe he probably handed his colleagues American flag pins and invited them up for punch and pretzels afterwards, completely oblivious to his serious breach of protocol.

As a lifelong (46yrs) Republican I mourn what “Republicans” like this quack and other Karl Rove followers have done to what was once the “party of ideas”. What happened to civility, decency and respect for the office of President. What happened to a “Country First” responsibility (fiscal and otherwise) putting solving serious problems before scoring “Republican base” (aka redneck) points and “I told you so” grade-school name-calling. Grow up!

“Republicans” rail against Obama for the School speech yesterday, calling it “Socialist indoctrination”; it makes us seem like lunatics, and only discredits and marginalizes any opposition, not to mention reinforces a popular sense that Obama is fighting against the “party of NO”.

Poor Bob Dole, a well-known REAL Republican, on ABC “This Week” Sunday, was clearly baffled by the approach of the “Republicans”. He (and I) seem to feel that the party is on the road to folly and marginalization. The nation needs a vital opposition party. A party which crucifies its own members as traitors for trying to civilly work things out with the other guys is not it. Grow the heck up!

The House version of the health care bill explicitly prohibits spending any federal money to help illegal immigrants get health care coverage. Illegal immigrants could buy private health insurance, as many do now, but wouldn’t get tax subsidies to help them. However, verification of citizenship is as simple as a person stating that s/he is a citizen and that’s all it takes, the GOP tried to get ID verification in place, but the Democrats struck that provision down…so who is fooling who??

TIME has published a fact-checking piece that makes it absolutely clear that none of the health care insurance reform proposals cover illegal aliens:

“The President’s seemingly simple statement, that “the reforms I am proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally,” is not hard to check. In the Senate Finance Committee working framework for a health plan, which Obama’s speech seemed most to mimic, there is the line: “No illegal immigrants will benefit from the health care tax credits.” Similarly, the major health care reform bill to pass out of committee in the House, H.R. 3200, contains a Section 246, which is called, “NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS.” Some Republicans have claimed that these protections are too weak, since they do not require stringent eligibility checks that would prevent illegal immigrants from gaming the system.”

Well, as always the stupid will continue to rant about Bush when asked to confront the lies being told. Much like many of the Jews entering the death camps…truth only became real when no amount of obfuscation, denial, or self lying could be continued. Sad state of affairs people…the enemy is in Washington, not next door. As long as you allow people like Reid, Pelosi, et.al to condition you to fight like rabid dogs on a bone when the opposition party is mentioned…well, slavery will sit lightly upon your narrow shoulders. The shining city upon the hill for all to desire is no more when the electorate has no idea of how far they have sold themselves into slavery for the want of security.

“The Voice of Red Bank” Wilson’s performance reminds me a bit of a tactic I read Goebbel’s used for a while with regards major speeches on BBC world radio service. He would tune powerful transmitters to the same frequency, but silent, and would have a propagandist listening to BBC, to every so often blare in such comments “What Jew paid you to say that?” and the like.

Is everyone totally convinced that Wilson’s crude performance was completely extemporaneous?

Way to go Joe, call a liar a liar wherever they are. How can you respect the office with all the lying, draft dodging, puppets of the NWO we have had in there. I wish all 535 would have yelled “liar” at the same time. Joe Wilson is a real American patriot.

Way to go, Joe! Obama is a liar and deserves to be called out as one – just exactly as was done. The one being disrespectful and disgracing the Office of President is Obama himself. Note that I do not call Obama President. He does not qualify as far as I can see by the lack of release of his records and fraud in records he has released. He is a socialist and is surrounded by like-minded. fitsnews, we do not have demoratic tradition. WE ARE A REPUBLIC! Read our United States Constitution. Representative Joe Wilson is an asset to the state of South Carolina. Our founders would be proud and would join him in his protests!

I don’t know about Wilson’s previous voting record in great detail, but I do know that he has introduced a bill to help curb the illegal chain migration and if he ever succeeds in getting others up to speed on the need for this he will have earned our deepest gratitude. Regarding the “outburst”, it is just about time someone told the truth about this health care bill. If Wilson had politely sent him a note, or called a little press conference, everyone who heard that phony message of Obama’s would have missed hearing the comment which DID ELICIT THE TRUTH. Face it, South Carolina, there are times when fancy manners just aren’t enough. When the emperor has no clothes, it is fair to say so. Good for Wilson!

You may hate/ dislike/ resent Wilson, BUT Rob Miller would be much worse for SC. The comments are directed towards Wilson’s votes for bailouts, and the like; however, if we put Miller in Congress he’s going to act like Spratt and Clyburn. Meaning he will become Pelosi’s puppet. Just think how much more of your money will be wasted… Moral:Go Joe!
