For whatever reason, we didn’t get this excited on August 8, 2008. Or July 7, 2007, or June 6, 2006, or May 5, 2005, or April 4, 2004 … etc., etc. you get the picture.
Today is 09-09-09, though, which we celebrated at 9:09 a.m. by fumbling for coffee filters and cursing the muddy paw prints a certain pooch named for NFL quarterback Peyton Manning left on our kitchen floor.
Our favorite day of all-time? June 9, 69 A.D.

It’s because of The Beatles, man! Glad I’ve got the swine flu because (1) I get to listen to the box set straight thru and (2) I’m legally medicated!

I certainly celebrated 6/6/06. That was, of course, the International Day of Slayer. But the Year of the Four Emperors was probably good, too, especially on June 6, the International Day of Reciprocity.

Hope you have fun staying home and listening to the Beatles. Hope you get over that swine flu.
I know everyone has to like something, but, I be damned if I would ever torture myself listening to the Beatles. I know a lot of people will disagree, and that is ok. I was eighteen and just joined the Navy when the Beatles had commercial success in the US. The bubble gum music of the sixties. I have heard the box set released today(09-09-09) is nice, re-mastered and supposed to have all their songs. I really hope you enjoy it. I’ll pass.
