Miles’ Scams Still Going …

A friend of ours in Myrtle Beach, S.C. recently forwarded us a classified ad that appeared in the local newspaper, The Sun News.

“Secretary of State endorses Home-Based Business Opportunity,” the headline reads, although if you scroll down a bit in the advertisement you’ll discover that this so-called job promising “unlimited residual income” is actually referring to former Secretary of State Jim Miles.

Ah, Jim Miles … remember him?

In case you’ve forgotten, Miles is the guy who was forced to resign his position as Chief-of-Staff to Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer earlier this year for his role in “Senior Scam,” a questionable business venture that funneled tens of thousands of tax dollars into a for-profit shakedown that he promoted with current SCGOP Chairwoman Karen Floyd.

Of course, it wasn’t just Miles’ association with “Senior Scam” that did him in, it was his prior involvement with several “multi-level marketing (MLM)” scams that held themselves out to be “legitimate” businesses.

Once a pyramid scammer, always a pyramid scammer, it would appear.

Anyway, here’s the “job” opportunity in case you’re interested.  All we can say is at least this time Miles isn’t scamming on the taxpayer dime, so far as we know.

And yeah … you stay classy, Jim Miles …

Why are you constantly trying to bring Karen Floyd into everything? Do you have a secret crush on her or something?

Is he still racing under the name Jimbo Stiles?
