“Tapping” Bridget Keeney

While the mainstream media has largely ignored it, our recent story about now-former S.C. Board of Education member Kristin Maguire has been all the rage on the Palmetto Internets … and beyond.

Gawker, Wonkette and dozens of other national sites have picked it up, which frankly isn’t surprising given its, um, “wow” factor.

The story has also been a field day for satirists like our friends over at The Discust, who offered this, um, news “flash …”

Moving quickly to avoid a conspicuous opening on the State Board of Education, Governor Mark Sanford has appointed Bridget Keeney to fill out the remainder of Kristin Maguire’s term. Maguire’s premature withdrawal was unexpected but Sanford expressed his belief that Keeney would have no problems assuming the position.

“She can handle it, no problem,” said Sanford. “I know most of you aren’t familiar with Bridget’s work, but I assure you she’s never seen a job she couldn’t handle — she’ll blow you all away, just wait.”

Wowzas.

Nice work, guys …

The voucher scam, red corvettes and 1st class airline tickets!

Those are the (not) solutions to all problems in S.C.

And Howie will fund all of that for any elected voucher clown willing to throw their vote his way.

sanfraud has brought us so many scams.

sic(k) willie was among of the first “public” scams.

But, which came first, sanfraud, sic(k) willie or the rotten eggs?

    Who cares? They all stink.

    Vouchers are dead in S.C.

    And rotting.

BIN News Editorial staff need to get their medications balanced or try a new drug. Is that a little bitterness I detect? Chill out and enjoy the moment. This is better than a soap opera.

She is just another float in the “freak” parade.Any college student, not sure what to major in, with the outcome being gainfully employed ,should consider child psychiatry.Between this”busy mom”& our trail hiking guv ,there are eight potential clients. I was very disturbed when I read one of the books a friend’s son ,age 10,is reading in Richland district one. Now, I know why they are having children read this trash, it was probably selected by her.

Yes, books can, of course, be quite hazardous. It’s much better to keep kids in front of the television or playing video games. Safer too, because of the paper cuts they can get, which could get infected.

Say, are your lips moving as you read this?
