We swear we’re not still angling (hard) to get press passes to U2′s upcoming 360 Tour (Raleigh Oct. 3 and Atlanta Oct. 6, in case U2′s media relations peeps are reading this).
Seriously, not us. We wouldn’t do that …
In this case, it just so happens that groveling at the U2 altar once again (see here, here and here) happens to coincide with our complete and total inability to get U2′s latest single out of our heads.
The song – entitled “I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight” – was released back in July with a killer animated video which Sic and Shorty have completely fallen in love with. In fact, Shorty has even inserted the song in between “Do You Know The Muffin Man” and “Alice The Camel” in his iPod play list.
“Crazy” is pandemically infectious, people … from its soaring chorus to the hooky bridge and guitar solo that build up to its racing finish.
Next to the “Breathe,” it’s our favorite song on U2′s new album, No Line on the Horizon. It’s also easily the catchiest song U2 has written since 2000′s “Beautiful Day.”
