Is not being married (to a woman reasonably close in age and faithful) at least one good indicator of an individual's character, especially in regards to responsibility, personal growth, and maturity? Look at the fuss that Sanford's cheating and promiscuity has caused. His judgement and behavior have been extreme and extremely disruptive to our state. He should resign, IMHO, but his remaining in office is a great demonstration of what can happen when we have someone of poor character in office. One thing to ask yourself about Bauer is: "Would you ride in a car with him driving?" Or, even more important for such a high level figure, "Would you fly in a plane with him piloting?" What do I think of Bauer's speeding, challenging police officers, crashing a plane due to his extreme negligence, general arrogance, sexual promiscuity, repeated grandstanding, pandering to special interests, etc.?
