In case you’re interested in news that’s decidedly not fit to print, one of the three events that S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford has listed on his public schedule (a.k.a. “Forgiveness Tour”) this week is a visit to the Conway Lions Club on Friday.

If you’ve never been to a Lions Club meeting before, it’s quite an experience.

For starters, they “purr …”

No … seriously. It even sounds like real purring. In fact, the first time we spoke at a Lions Club meeting we were momentarily dumbfounded by the sound, but then somebody told us “it means they agree with you.”

Uhhh … okay. Because it sure as hell sounded to us like we were about to get eaten.

Anyway, Lions Club International – which has 44,000 clubs and 1.4 million members in 203 countries – is the world’s largest secular service organization. Among its goals?  “To promote the principles of good government and good citizenship” and “to take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community.”

Hmmmm … maybe it’s just us, but shouldn’t the Lions actually be speaking to Sanford instead of the other way around?

“Purrrrrrrr, purrrrrrrrr …”

Oh … why thank you, Lions! We didn’t see you!

Sanford could take a page out of the Lion’s book and pretend to give a shit about the social and moral welfare of the community by asking the Autistic community’s forgiveness for vetoing their legislation a couple years ago, and then Sanford could go forward from there by showing some support for the special needs community in our state. Oh yeah, stop being in Blue Cross/Blue Shield’s pocket. This is all in addition to ceasing to be a fuckoff Absentee Governor jackass.

Why isn’t Sanford at the Southern Governor’s Conference. There generally are alot of large industries looking for places to build plants.

Your new “finger” is interesting.
It doesn’t appear to occur to you that one day your children may be reading the achives of FITSNEWS and see and read display after display of your way beyond simply juvenile self.
Is this what you mean by social libertarian? No fit example for a child?

His apology tour is stupid on it’s face, and a big waste of time. Does he ever work???
