It seems Henry Mc wants to be governor so he can live and entertain in the big house. He likes having people wave to him when he is in parades in the state’s innumerable local festivals. That’s okay. Let’s allow him to do that for four years. He can be sort of our queen of England. Then let’s get some really qualified people to operate the state behind the scenes for him.

McMaster is the absolute personification of the gutless, spineless, back-scratching good ol’ boy stereotype! McMaster ignores reality like fox: he cannot tell the truth or he’d be castigating himself. He tells you what you want to hear with no more conscience than Andy Griffith’s “Lonesome” Rhodes character from “A Face in the Crowd.”

In fact, his face fades into the crowd of him, Barrett, and Bauer. McMaster is the “all of the above” choice for the good ol’ boy wing of the Republican Party.

This Foghorn Leghorn caricature of a career politician actually thinks people will fall for his folksy humor while he evades this state’s real problems and his do-nothing role in perpetuating them.

Henry McMaster may be a South Carolina native going back who knows how many generations, but I don’t care…I still think that accent is phony.

“Guhbnah”? Even as a proud Southern-boy I want to scream when I hear that man talk. Dude can’t pull off that kind of accent. Sounds like he is still living on a plantation or something.
