Identified By Implants

By now, everyone in America is familiar with the grisly end of Jasmine Fiore, the swimsuit “model” who was murdered and mutilated last week in California – allegedly by her husband Ryan Alexander (a.k.a. Ryan Jenkins).

Jenkins – a former reality TV character – has reportedly fled to Canada where he is now the subject of an international manhunt, but back in Orange County his alleged victim has been identified … by her implants.

From People:

When Jasmine Fiore’s body was found in a Dumpster in Buena Park, Calif., Aug. 15, her fingers had been cut off at the second knuckle and all of her teeth had been pulled out. But authorities were still able to identify the swimsuit model from the serial numbers on her breast implants.

Good Lord. Just what every father wants to hear, right?

Oh, and People … pray tell … when did we start capitalizing “Dumpster?”

Anyway, this “unique” form of identification isn’t really all that surprising. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgery (a.k.a. the “Boob Brotherhood), nearly 350,000 women received breast implants in 2007 – an astounding number when you stop and think about it.

    Will,

If the dumpster was actually a Dumpster brand, then it is correct to capitalize the proper name.

If it was another brand, though, then you’re right.

If anybody cares, this poor young woman is actually from South Carolina. Estill, South Carolina. Her grandmother, Frances Lapore Blakewood died in March, 2009 and was buried in Estill. Jasmine and her murderer boyfriend both came to the funeral.

Viewers of the early days of “The Wire” would know that implants could be used to identify women so this is not new.

This is a remarkable story. Terrible and fascinating at the same time. I’m sure there will be a movie made from this.

I think this article is destracting from the real issue. Money does not fix problems and people. It destroyed this beautiful woman’s life and I pray she was right with God. Now 2 people are dead, I think the end of this article is pointless and meaningless, when you should be focusing on the sad end to this story.
