Watch Jim Clyburn Sleep
Poverty Pimp … err, Majority Whip Jim Clyburn is holding yet another “town hall” meeting tonight, which means that he will alternately doze off or look on insolently as people he could care less about say things to him that he will immediately forget.
Seriously, for those of you unfamiliar with Clyburn’s commitment to his constituents, click here. You’ll want to pimp slap democracy and ask for your money … and your country back.
Anyway, Clyburn’s town hall meeting will be held tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Drew Wellness Center in Columbia, S.C., one of the few government-funded boondoggles in the gerrymandered Sixth Congressional District that’s NOT named for Clyburn.
Go figure.
No word yet on whether this walking monument to worthlessness will pimp the Cosby sweater or not.

The wellness center might not be named for him, but that doesn’t mean Clyburn doesn’t have strong ties to the facility. In 2008, he earmarked $229,000 to the center for an obesity program. His daughter, Angela, was the marketing and membership director at the time of the earmark.

Why can’t Jim Clyburn invite the President to vacation in Myrtle Beach and not the exclusive Martha’s Vineyard? Myrtle Beach could use the publicity. This is going to be a tough fall and winter for small business along the Grand Strand.
