Abigail Chase Is All Over The Place

Our founding editor has drawn baby duty this morning, which evidently means a little “girl bonding” in front of the tube watching the various iterations of what has become of the Today show.

“Abigail Chase is on the television!” he called our office moments ago, screaming. “Channel 1054! Channel 1054!”

First of all, dumb ass, there is no channel 1054 on your cable package (and least not one that you’re authorized to subscribe to). That was the clock you were looking at … it was 10:54 a.m. when you called.

Second, Abigail Chase is really a German actress named Diane Kruger … or more precisely, Diane Heidkruger … and she (believe it or not) has an existence beyond your geekified National Treasure fantasies.

Aside from the two Treasure flics, Kruger hasn’t been in much you would have seen, though -  unless you were one of the fifteen people who watched The Hunting Party (ouch). That changes this week with Kruger’s starring role in Inglourious Basterds, the new Quentin Tarantino movie about fictional Nazi killer Lt. Aldo Raine, played by Brad Pitt.

We refuse to further plug the movie (for no real reason), but at Sic Willie’s instructions, we’re all about plugging the lovely Miss Kruger …

Wait … that came out wrong …
