Our Mice Have Spoken: Sanford Must Go

fits readers

Four out of five FITS readers now believe that S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford should resign his office – a figure that has risen dramatically from a similar poll conducted seven weeks ago in the immediate aftermath of his shocking admission of infidelity.

In an online poll conducted in late June of this year – shortly after Sanford admitted to having an affair with Argentine lover Maria Belen Chapur – 57.8% of FITS readers believed the governor should step down.

This week’s poll, which has logged nearly 600 votes, shows Sanford’s position has weakened considerably – no doubt a result of the disastrous way he’s handled the scandal and the steady drip of additional details that have come out about his personal life and alleged misuse of public resources.

Now, 81% of FITS readers believe Sanford should resign – meaning that one out of four FITS readers have switched their view on the subject over the last seven weeks.

That’s a quantum shift, people, and if public opinion polling mirrors the sort of numbers we’re seeing, expect to see more lawmakers pushing for Sanford’s impeachment and removal from office  … no matter what resistance they may encounter from S.C. House Speaker Bobby Harrell and Attorney General Henry McMaster, both of whom are clearly working together behind the scenes to keep the governor in office.

I will congratulate Fitsnews, as have others, for milking this cow for all it’s worth. Your getting a national freaking following for crissakes!I also give props to Fits for admitting to unfair and imbalanced views, and even bigger props for allowing this post! You have thick skin, and for that I thank you. And let me start my own rumor, the Folks at Fits are in Jenny’s pocket, maybe even down her pants! HA! That’s the great thing about rumors, when there is no evidence to the contrary, they are hard to disprove. But one thing that becomes more and more clear by the minute is the Fits is part of the “hit squad” of traitorous character assassins trying to take the Luv Guv out. That’s no rumor, it’s a fact.

A poster at the State newspaper website provides more confirmation on the Mark Sanford-Maria tryst that was reported first by fitnews.com. Maria Chapur is indeed here, and Mark Sanford is indeed on another “vacation” this time under the guise of reserve duty in Florida. Note that Ben Fox his spokesman, refuses to say if Sanford left by road or by air and when. so much for transperancy.

“Swirling talk that Mark Sanford and Maria Chapur travelled together to Panama City, FL late Thursday night.

Sanford took private transportation courtesy of a close friend and left the mansion under cover of darkness last night with Chapur who is said to have been in Columbia staying at a Sanford’s loyal friend’s house since Monday this week.

Sanford and Chapur are said to have spent the weekend at the Sanford family plantation house in Coosaw and that Chapur has been formally introduced to Mark’s mom.

Chapur is spending time with Sanford prior to his reporting for reseve duty tomorrow and Sunday. They will also be together for most part of Monday before returing to Columbia in the evening.”

Chapur came in to the US via Miami.

I love that Will has turned on Sanford, and I also believe that Jenny has paid him off, in one way or another. But, I do not care, keep the dirt coming, Will. It mostly all turns out to be true, so maybe the people who are afraid of Sanford leaving will have to make him go. Too bad about the timing. No one but Sanford picked that part. I also think Maria is near by. I also believe that Sanford has many health problems, and wish he would see a REAL counselor, not the fake ones to which he refers.

THIS HAS NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH MARITAL infidelity…..

It does however have to do WITH FIDELITY>>>>>>

    think people think
stop drinking fluoride water and koolaid
critical thinking is required no matter your condition.

    We have a HORRENDOUS problem….

And there apparently is ONE PLACE LEFT ON EARTH that means what it says and says what it means. It AINT the GUBBMENT

Fits News gets all the good gravy laden dirt on Sandford and his hypocritical escapades.

To any naysayer (Jonny D) that’s crying about all this just being “rumors”, does the FACT that everything reported here has been proven to be truth not bother you?

    Sandbag cronies, quit your bitching.

The guy is a total hot-mess and he is ruining our state, one drip at a time.

    FITS NEWS, YOU’RE AWESOME!

I just found Fits, so I did not vote on this. Count me in for a resign or be impeached vote. If the LEgislature is not afraid to do so.

No one wanted to listen to me prior to this entire situation mushroomed into what it has finally become. I have long highly recommended that Gov. Sanford should have resigned his office out of respect for his family, but now he has completely disgraced this executive position. All the eyes of the world will once again watch our state and judge that us all accordingly. Handle your business SC and remove this idiot from office. If he wants Maria Chapur instead of Jenny that’s his business but lets finally take it office the public stage.
