god bless america

One of the great things about America (for now, at least) is that any idiot with a keyboard, a modem and a little bandwidth can put their own unique stamp on the democratic process – which if you think about it, is exactly the way it should be.

And always should be.

We know President Barack Obama and NBC Anchor Brian Williams don’t exactly see it that way, but they can kiss our asses … and your asses, too – black, white, (tan) whatever. At the moment this is still a free country, and if you ask us we think it’s time for a million moon march on Washington.

Anyway, among those exercising this glorious freedom is none other than SC Hotline editor Jeffrey Sewell, who posted an interesting question yesterday in response to a press release issued by the S.C. House Republican Caucus.

Basically, House Republicans (at least those under the thumb of S.C. Speaker Bobby Harrell) were staking out another vanilla position with respect to

Here’s the “question” that Sewell posted publicly in response to the Caucus release …

Will the The House Republican Caucus leadership be looking into the broader scope of how such abuses of state travel if exist are possible with regard to the as-is processes to procure such services. What are the checks and balances regarding if indeed a problem assumed and or perceived exists?

Huh?

We called S.C. House Caucus spokesman Jason Zacher to see if he had any clue what Sewell was asking, but he declined to comment and rather brusquely referred us to the Caucus’ original statement.

Anyway, before your bosoms heave too fervently with the spirit of freedom, allow yourself a little musical release … and a one, and a two, and a one, two, three, four …

God Bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home.

I laughed for like 10, no 20, seconds after reading that! You can’t make that insanity up. What I wouldn’t give to be inside that man’s pea brain when those profound thoughts come rocketing out.

When sic(k) willie and other republicrats helped sanfraud get elected, the State of S.C. hired a “chief fox” to watch the hen house.

In more ways than one.

Now, the “chief fox” has been caught in the hen house by the “First Hen” who has taken her “little roosters” and moved out.

And, the “chief fox” has been exposed as a fraud.

First Class and Business Class seats.

Buzzing around S.C. when he could have been driven by one of his staff.

Let’s not forget this goes back in time. Remember back when sic(k) willie was sanfraud’s spokes-mouth? sic(k) willie got busted for drivin’round in a bright red ‘vette that belonged to…

Wait, read about it in sic(k) willie’s own words:

“During his tenure as gubernatorial spokesman, he landed in hot water when he borrowed a cherry red Corvette convertible from a local car dealer with ties to the governor’s administration and used it to joyride around the state for a week…”

Did you pick up any “chicks” in it, sic(k) willie?

And don’t forget this part:

“He is also alleged to have threatened economic development in Anderson County, South Carolina, even though he claims to have merely told a Chamber of Commerce representative there to go screw himself.”

Tigers can’t change their spots, and leopards can’t change their stripes.

Yea, we know we screwed up those lines. Just like S.C. screwed up when they elected sanfraud. Thanks sic(k) willie. For helping the fraud.

sic(k) willie continue to be a part of that fraud on S.C.

sewells idea makes sense to me. Investigate the system if you want reform. Investigate Sanford if you want politics.

I say clear the boards by looking at the system and making the changes needed to make sure the taxpayers are protected.

But I suspect that many other politicians are guilty of the same things that the Gov is accused of …so this is a touchy subject. But right is right. Investigate the system and those that have gamed it.
