Wielding A Pimp Hand Is Tiring Work
Unless you’re related to Poverty Pimp … err, Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (and in need of a cush taxpayer-funded position), there’s a better than average chance that South Carolina’s Sixth District Congressman doesn’t give a rat’s ass about you or anything you may have to say to him.
In fact, Clyburn’s indifference to his constituents was on full display at a recent town hall meeting held in his “majority-minority” district.

Watch the 1:25 to 1:40 mark in particular … he’s not asleep at that point, but the look of sheer contempt he has for the person speaking is palpable. It’s almost like he’s insulted to be in the same room as the unwashed masses, let alone forced to listen to them speak!
Oh well, (poverty) pimpin’ ain’t easy!

Goes to show that money can buy elections. Is anybody worthwhile gonna contest this guy in 2010? I doubt Democrats will lose their 3rd ranking house Democrat; they’ll give him as much money as needed to buy another election.

The ultimate political power is knowing you cannot be defeated, no matter what you do. Clyburn is in that situation.
Instead of being a mid level government employee…he is one of the most powerful people in the country.

To whomever mentioned affirmative action:I am no big fan of Clyburn but to equate his power to affirmative action is ignorant. He was elected by the people in his district-black and white. Noone “gave him the job” based on color.His position in Congress was a vote as well by other members of Congress. To be duly elected is so far from an affirmative action issue. His helping relatives is akin to nepitism which whites for generations have done.

My point is, that afrO americans cause more crime, violence, abortions, murders, etc… than any other race. I am not white, I am latino – so uderstand the damn facts. 90% of obama voters were blacks. As the chair of an ex-offender re-entry initiative I see my fair share of idiotits who are close-mined & UNINFORMED as is demonstrated here by racist comments.As for Sex-offenders u certainly don’t know what u’re talking about! To the Latino above: 90% of blacks voted for Obama NOT 90% of his voters were black, dumbass.Gerrymandering was a federal law passed by whites and blacks in Congress which has nothing to do with affirmative action.If blacks commit more violent crime than others they learned from the best – white slave owners and Jim Crow bastards. Why can’t Jim Clyburn invite the President to vacation in Myrtle Beach and not the exclusive Martha’s Vineyard? Myrtle Beach could use the publicity. This is going to be a tough fall and winter for small business along the Grand Strand.

Wow. I’m late, I know. I was just sent this this morning. Only for the actual video, these comments were a bonus. Its clear to most any one that made it past middle school that the self proclaimed “latino” is not only extremely ignorant and racist but also a liar. Initailly his words angered me. Then some of the follow up responses made me feel better. I could tell you all about yourself, but most likely you would only be confused, and I would have wasted my time. Yes someone worthwhile is indeed running against Jim in 2010. In defense of Jim, clearly, gerrymandering was not his patented thought. Someone asked the question, to get info on politics head to the Dem party HQ’s on Hampton St. I cant reacall the address at the moment but its one block from Bull St & catecomb to the Post Office. 1800 block I think.
…I didnt check this body of work for errors, and i’m more than a year from a master’s, but I’m sure I made less mistakes than Mr from here on out we’ll refer to as “his ignorance”
