It shows lack of character that he didn't. However, Andre Bauer as governor genuinely gives me chills. Do you honestly believe Bauer will refrain from running for Governor in 2010? I do not. This is all just politics..and not very honest politics... as usual. Bauer is a greedy opportunist. Just ask the people of the district he was senator of before he ran for Lt. Governor. And with that well known temper of his, he should rise no higher in office. So honestly, I would really rather Sanford serve out his term as a lame duck than face the prospect of Bauer as governor.
