Henry McMaster: Coming (Soon) To A Television Near You
The 2010 SCGOP gubernatorial primary is still ten months away, but S.C. Attorney General Henry McMaster is about to up the ante and raise the profile of the race considerably.
Fresh off of raking in gobs of cash at a trial lawyer fundraiser on Hilton Head Island, McMaster is about to spend some of his special interest haul on the first television ads of the 2010 race, which are scheduled to begin airing statewide as early as next week. That’s when the second-term Attorney General will formally announces his candidacy for the state’s highest office.
McMaster and his team are filming the ad today, sources tell FITS, which will reportedly beginning airing concurrently with McMaster’s official announcement next Tuesday or Wednesday.
So here’s the burning question … can all that trial lawyer cash combined with the best message consultants money can buy (a.k.a. Richard Quinn and Bob McAlister) make a buffoon like McMaster sound at least moderately intelligent?
We’ll see …

There’s no way he should be elected govenor. It would be the equivalent of going from the frying pan to the fire given his track record as Attorney General, the Henson rape trial mess which gained national attention, his responce to the US supreme court’s ruling over the death penalty law derived from that case, and hthe handling of the chesterfield county police shooting.
