In perhaps the most bizarre policy statement in American history, U.S. President Barack Obama went on the record Tuesday at a town hall-style meeting in New Hampshire and said that killing your grandmother is not on his domestic agenda.
“I’m not in favor of that,” Obama said.
Amazingly, we’re not kidding. Such is his administration’s total lack of ownership of this debate.
In fact, Obama’s $1.5 trillion socialized medicine boondoggle is so thoroughly on the ropes that not even the race card or the timely re-demonization of ass gaskets like Rush Limbaugh appear capable of rescuing it … which is why Obama is having to fend off critics who contend that his plan would encourage doctors to “pull the plug on Grandma.”
Meanwhile, Obama’s polling numbers continue to dive bomb as a result of ongoing economic woes and the high-profile health care debate.
No wonder Obama was in such a hurry to get his plan passed before the summer Congressional recess, people!

Obama has a huge crediblity issue on many fronts.
He has lied to America many times in his short tenure.
First, he said, no earmarks.
Then he passed a budget with over 9,000 earmarks.
No lobbyists he said.
Now his Administration is crawling with special interests and lobbyists.
Against abortion, he said.
Within days of office, he signed orders authorizing the US to borrow money to offer abortions overseas.
Now he says medicine won’t be rationed
He also says there won’t be lines.
Yea, right!

And this is news? All these programs that were rolled out by both sides of the isle with hurry up we have to do it yesterday, wouldn’t have stood a hope in hell of passing if the American people had had a chance of seeing what the clowns in DC were selling. Don’t worry people, its all butterfly’s and rainbows, after all politicians are only doing whats good for you…so go back to sleeeeeeeeeep.

Grandma is working on a “special biscuit” just for Obama. That is Southern code for a poison little treat you give a menace to society. You know, like your neighbor’s vicious, barking Pit Bulls.
Grandma has been busy over on YouTube:

What’s your problem with Rush Limbaugh? I’ll bet you can’t point to a single thing he’s said to justify your utterly crude and tasteless characterization of a decent and genuinely concerned American. I can tell you that I find his program vastly less offensive than much of the vulgar trash that you post on this website. It’s bad enough when you set out to attack political bad actors at the personal level, but you lose all credibility with me when you set out to impugn the reputations of people like Rush Limbaugh and, even more disgracefully, Jim DeMint. What we have here is a serious case of log-in-the-eye syndrome. Lay off it, will you?

I think the Health Care plan is DOA, at least in its current incarnation. If history is any teacher, though, it’ll be brought back in some type of incrimental fashion – a little bit here, a little bit there.
I think the Dem’s over-reached on this one, thinking the ‘cult of personality’ (and control of the House & Senate) of Obama would push it through before anyone noticed, but I don’t think they’re giving up the fight entirely (yet) on health care.

Found this very interesting blog entry. It’s a line by line analysis of the bill. And it scares the shit out of me.

Of course the over-reached on it. Totally predictable. They did this in 1993-1994 with HillaryCare. They just tried to put a new bow on it this time and have at it all over again.
And of course, once again, the American people are saying “NO”. We don’t want to lose freedom to choose our plan. We don’t want to be penalized for living healthy. We don’t want to lose our current plans. We don’t want to lose our doctors.
All of which would happen in both plans being considered.

The hypocrisy in many of these comments cracks me up. The very same people who scream about socialized medicine fight tough and nail to keep Medicare (a socialized medicine program) they feel they have a given right to Medicare but just dont see the same for children withou insurance. They scream about choice, but anyone who has health insurance knows that the insurance corporations already ration medicine, doctors and treatment. The same people who scream about expansion of govt and programs had been absolutely silent when in 06 Bush created the largest expansion of govt and deficit in history with the expansion of medicare and prescription meds program. (amazingly enough also guaranteeing that the pharma industry was the only govt vendor that was exempt and actually excluded from price controls and pricing competition. The problem is far too many people listen to Rush, Magical underwear crying Beck and Hannity without actually researching the facts.
These same people had been totally silent during the last administration which presided over the largest expansion of govt, created the largest deficits in the history of the United States, and basically started one bogus war and one justified war basically kept off the budget and funded almost entirely by loans from the chinese. So keep crying about all these false issues and talking points but God forbid dont point that hatred at the truth or yourselves.
