Moving trucks will reportedly be at the S.C. Governor’s Mansion today as First Lady Jenny Sanford is scheduled to depart the residence she has shared for the past six-and-a-half years with her husband, S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford.

The First Lady and the couple’s four boys will be moving back to the family’s home in Charleston, where they will attend local private schools this fall.

Earlier this summer, Gov. Sanford tearfully confessed to having an affair with his Argentine lover, Maria Belen Chapur, and lying about his whereabouts in an effort to cover it up. Days later, in a disastrous interview with the Associated Press, Gov. Sanford confessed to “crossing lines” with other women as well.

The governor and First Lady took a private five-day vacation last month to work on their marriage, and Sanford family spent the last two weeks on a European vacation.

It is unknown whether or not Mrs. Sanford’s decision to leave the mansion has anything to do with the success or failure of these two trips, although it certainly doesn’t look good.

Mrs. Sanford took a hard line on her husband’s infidelity originally – refusing to “stand by her man” and taking a “devil may care” approach to his political career in her public comments.

Behind the scenes, however, the First Lady worked the phones for her husband at a critical moment in the crisis – providing the leverage the governor needed to hold on to his office by the thinnest of threads.

What possible “leverage” does Jenny have? Unless it is revealing deep dark secrets on other pols, why would they care?

Does that mean that the Sanfords can now claim the property tax reduction for primary residence (4% vs. 6%) that they tried to sneak through a few years back for the Sullivan’s Island home while living in the Governor’s Mansion? Oh, and did our governor ever decide which county he would register his boat in?

Good for her. How far is Charleston from Columbia? If he has to ferry across every weekend to “rebuild his marriage” and make amends with “those boys”, two things can happen. Both potentially good. He either gets tired of it, resigns and flies away to Argentina and spares the state more of the freak shows, or he truly regrets it, resigns and moves to Charleston. Alternately, he just keeps communicating with Maria (we know he is doind that anyway), with the intent of joining her after his governorship is over. The problem in that scenario is that he will be a washed up guv, and may find that affairs are no longer fun if they are not clandestine and “forbidden”. This soap opera is getting to me, I guess.

That means Jenny Sanford begged for time for Mark to go find money to replace the US Treasury. Jenny formerly worked for LAZARD. Go look them up…
LAZARD is part owner of the Federal Reserves.

What Jenny did not expect was Elizabeth Collier Shepherd.I am not your ignorant run of the mill South Carolinian. I am an honest decent exceptional soul. I am not bragging on myself but I don’t know many other people like me.

People, I got up from what had literally been my death bed, at a very young age, and got off of disability. Is this not the model?

I worked eleven years before the ” lupus” came back… Lupus always comes back doesn’t it????

When I asked for help, the floodgates of hell opened because Mark Sanford, thinking he’d never get caught and would be President one day and get to change the law himself anyway, Mark Sanford privatized Social Security.

Someone gave him permission to move funds. It was 1987. Wasn’t that Reagan?

I have documentation. This is not off the cuff. It has come at a price tag of my very life and around $14500.00 now. the number keeps growing because the Governor keeps lying.

Never in a million years, would any American expect to be refused every investigation of a corrupt governor, corrupt SSA system, corrupt CHURCH, corrupt everything.

I saw there is no way for anyone in this state to protect themselves from Mark and Jenny Sanford. They have hurt every human being in the state, protected themselves and lied through their teeth to the world.
