I liked how the Republicans lied about how Sarah Palin’s teleprompter broke during her first big convention speech. The little minions believed it and thought highly of Palin . Of course it was all Republican bullshit.

And so is the teleprompter cracks about Obama.

On a brief side note to the “teleprompter” jabs often thrown towards President Obama. Does this fall hand in hand with the Rovian approch of making sure to attack some one on their strenghts? The guy is a good public speaker…OK…but then I started to hear it percolating up through Rush Limbaugh et cetera that “he’s the teleprompter president…”

Well, I guess the curious thing for me is that most President’s and high level elected officials use teleprompters, BUT during the debates (against McCain and about 1000 other ones against Hillary Clinton and about a pack of 6-7 other Democratic candidates), Obama seemed to do just fine…No teleprompter. So every time I hear that line of attack, I am not sure what the reason for it is. Anyone got some explanation on it? Thanks.

Running Clinton playbook. Go left for first two years weather the storm then come back to middle last two years which will likely coincide with a better economy (because of or in spite of his policies) and unless the Republican Party can get a new face with new ideas in next three years (Sanford–out Palin–out–Jindell–not sure he can catch fire, Romney–only if Obama is a complete disaster) then reelection will be his to lose.

GW was at 80% approval– and lost.

Regan dropped to 42% and won

Clinton dropped to 42% and won

So now does not matter but I know plenty of Dems who are wondering what the hell is his health care plan?

I was upset at Obama prematurely calling the Cambridge police officer’s arrest “an act of stupidity.” But I am really pleased that he invited them the the White House to “have a beer.” I respect that. But I believe it was overwhelmingly due to the fact that most people realized the officer had reason to arrest Gates, and was siding with the police officer.

Yep, as bad the Democrats suck, the public thinks Republicans suck worse. Welcome to the recession of 2008-2009.

So he won with 53 percent of the vote, which was considered a landslide, and now his popularity is down to 54 percent and the sky is falling? Hmm, not really. However, you do have to expect that if the jobless figures stand at nearly 10 percent for much longer, his numbers will fall under 50 percent and Dems will lose seats in Congress. It’s inevitable. Look at Reagan’s numbers in 1982 and 1983 when jobless claims and inflation were hurting the economy.
