Andre Has An “Executive Hat?”
When he’s not busy presiding over the State Senate, S.C. Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer apparently likes to put on his “executive hat.”
Scary, we know.
According to the venerable S.C. Radio Network, though, this week Bauer and his “executive hat” are touring the Palmetto State’s unemployment offices, which have obviously been living up to their name lately.
From the SCRN:
Lt.Governor Andre Bauer says he has been touring unemployment offices around the state in recent weeks, taking stock of attempts to reduce the state’s jobless rate–which was 12.1 percent for the month of June. Baurer (sic) says difficult times require using all the sources available and he says the state’s Unemployment Office in Lexington County is a good example of that. “They have 55 folks graduating with a GED who didn’t have them before and now have them because they were looking for work. They have special programs for veterans who’re out of work, and anyone can go online and see the jobs that are out there and there are some. The state’s unemployment offices will even help you find the necessary training, be it through the workplace or through the technical education system.”
Really? This state’s “employment security” efforts are a joke. One that’s almost as unfunny as Bauer’s piloting skills … or that guy’s Sept. 11 hat.
WTF, dude?
Look, given our state’s “business nuclear” climate, it goes without saying that we can’t create jobs for sh*t , but the ESC can’t even find people for the jobs we are creating. Hence Bauer’s eloquent “there are some” comment.
Update – Yes, yes … we saw the tail number on that plane.

At least Andre is in SC touring something while the Lov Guv is touring Monaco…even as more of his “I hate my wife” letters are released through the AP.

If we are serious about creating jobs in South Carolina, we must eliminate the 7% personal income tax that small businesses pay. Dr. Art Laffer, known for developing the Laffer Curve, has documented that 1500 businesses are leaving high income tax states each day and relocating to zero and low income tax states. What is hard about that to understand?
As far as helping those who are currently unemployed, they should be required to spend at least 10 hours a week at our OneStop Careers Centers, which really do help people find jobs. They are under the control of the Commerce Dept., not the ESC.

“who’re”??
Don’t know if that was from a prepared statement by Andre’s camp, or if the SCRN is trying to invent new contractions. Wonder if this one will catch on?
And re: the picutre posted, I hope that someone shot him. Preferably in the right nutt. At the very least, he should have been whipped with a cat o’ nine tails.

There is nothing Andre Bauer won’t do to look like he gives a shit.
His tour is just another political trip paid for by the tax payers.

Will, you are acting ugly again. At least Andre is out there talking with our unemployed, and trying to make something work to lower our pitifully high numbers. Name one thing Sanford has done to help our unemployed. He is way to busy to work for SC. Blew off meetings with people who wanted to relocate their business here, and has never lowered himself to talk to anyone unemployed. And the picture of that hat is disgusting and you know it. You have no idea who in this state, or that might read this, has a relative who died on 9-11. You certainly can be thoughtless at times. Good for Andre, he has my vote. Will, straighten up and fly right.
